I like razor sharp cornering and grip and do not care about noise or mileage.

I've had the Conti DW, Direzza II, and Michelin PSS. Each is different, it just depends on your priorities and use of the car.
The PSS will give you the closest driving experience to the original Kumhos. Slightly less sticky, but not by much. They are pricier than the others.
The DW will last longer than the PSS, are outstanding in rain, and you will give up cornering feel due to softer sidewalls.
The ZII are great for razor sharp cornering and grip, but are going to be noisier and a noticeably stiffer when paired with the GP2 suspension.
I went with PSS, because they are the best tire for my needs. Yes, they offer less value per mile, but my priority was on having the best handling tire for daily use on the GP2 with the least compromise.

I absolutely adore my Nitto Neo Gens...best tires my S has EVER worn. 280 treadwear, and this is starting the 3rd year on them. They are my Spring and Summertime d/d tires, hpde tires, and twisty tires. They are sticky on the track and in the twisties, as well as great rain and dry tires

Dunlop Direzza is a great tire.
I would NOT suggest the Ventus12's. They have a fairly soft sidewall and unless you run a bit higher pressures you will notice a lot of tire movement. I have them and can't wait to get them off. Wish I had gone with the Dunlops.-

I would recommend the Continental ExtremeContact DW. I bought a set of the Michelin PSSs last year (slightly used, 8/32" left on all) and cooked through them in a summer. I wasn't impressed with them at all for the price point. The DWs were much better IMHO.
This year, I am giving the Bridgestone Potenza S0-4 Pole Positions a shot. Time will tell if I should have stayed with the DWs. -

I just went with the Bridgestone S-04s as well. They get good reviews and they don't break the bank. Most people rave about the PSS, but I just couldn't justify spending that much money on a tire.

I have a new set of the Conti DW, sure as hell a lot better than what came
on the R58. -
I just put a set of Michelin Pilot Sports A/S on my R50, and up to now I am very happy with how they ride. Time will tell how they last. I got them for a total of $412 & change after rebates. Because I put them on a spare set of rims (Blizzaks on my other rims), I did not have to pay tire disposal fees, environmental fees, etc.

While most high performance tires are indeed "directional" they can be used in either direction. The tread is directional only for when it is wet out as it pumps the water off of the road.
I have swapped my tires side to side and front to back for years simply to get a bit more even wear on them. -

And while I like to drive in reverse sometimes, I race in foreword gears. :lol:
I would never put them on the other side of my car because of how the tread lock is set up for one way tire rotation. Including wet conditions. -

I have talked to some tire reps and not a single one said it would cause any issues (Goodyear, Dunlop, and BFG were the folks I talked to at a show).
