Originally I was going to add a 19mm RSB and TSW springs for a very mild drop but after riding the car today finally (been at the dealer with issues since I bought it) I am realizing the the suspension in this car is downright violent...luckily my teeth are solid...I've read here that some owners feel that the TSW springs actually improve the ride comfort...Hmm, not to be contrary but frankly I cannot see how. Every time a installed shorter springs on anything the ride got harder.

I've also read that adding Koni yellows would significantly soften the ride.
Ultimately what I am looking for is "firm but compliant". And no, coil overs are not an option. Thanks for chiming in gents.

Do you still have run flats on the car?

Ditching the run-flats will help. If you have 17 inch wheels & tires dropping to 16 inch ones will help. So will going with Koni FSD shocks. Although Koni says to not use them on lowered cars, some people do though.

Yes I do and they are new, installed by the dealer when I bought the car (28K).
I can't see ditching them and loosing a bunch of money on then since no one really wants them.

The runflats are the cause of the ride quality you are experiencing.

While very few on here would buy the runflats you'd be surprised how many local folks would be interested. CraigsList can be your friend. Advertise by the size, not so much that they are for a MINI. Other cars use the same size tire.

I think you'll be shocked in how poor the RF's make the ride quality once you ditch them. I know I was.

Most people say a pulley is the best upgrade to do but I really think dumping the run flats is the first and best upgrade every Mini owner should before that add any power mods.

That's how much of an improvement it makes. (Nite and Day , Black and White)
