If you add a nice 19mm rear bar you'll be asking yourself why you waited so long. :yesnod: It won't make your MINI ride any harder if that is your reason for not adding one.

Nope.... My eyes started wandering away from MINI's..... Or maybe MINI wandered away from me... Yeah.... That's it...
This will be my last... Stopped adding stuff to it... I'll keep it for a while as is...
Waiting to see what the competition will be offering...

I use a 19mm H-Sport / Hotchkis bar too. For me with camber plates up front the balance is very good. I run mine wound tight.
To the OP if you are going to be driving on snow & ice (Alaska) my feeling is a big comp bar may make your MINI quite nervous in slippery conditions. -
When I bought my '06, I went with the 19mm H&R because of the claim that their Teflon bushings are lifetime no maintenance, no lubrication. It has proven to be true so far after 9 years, 85K miles.

The OP is in Alaska. -

You're correct for the most part. Most of us will never experience the unreasonable sinter conditions you all do in the east and mid west. It all depends on where you hang your hat as to what the climate is like... -

Koni sport shocks and Swift Spec-R springs, at the great advice of many of the helpful people here on MA.
-
Dave.0 Helix & RMW PoweredLifetime SupporterIt will be fine just as long as you lube the polly bushings via the fittings.

H&R is based in Germany (including all of their manufacturing). They aren't blind to weather concerns.

So does any body thinking I'll have a problem with the suspension as with the dropping of it cause we have very bad road up here pots holes and uneven road would you guys still try and get after market or just stay with OEM
-
Well that's what I mean crashton lol I've never lower a vehicle but is there a way I can get aftermarket and keep the height I have now with my stock

If I lived where you do I wouldn't lower my bar, that's just me. Maybe wait until you move & then alter your cars suspension.

If it was me... I wouldn't lower a car in Alaska unless it was a summer-only driver.

Nothing wrong with the stock one if you ask me. Once you wear it out change it. That's what I did with mine.
