Why do you think you need them?

Car lowered a bit?

Have coil overs? And if so did you corner weight the car?

 

Your sig notes H-sport springs and Koni's.

New endlinks are good if you are going to go to bigger sway bars.

 

I run the TSW endlinks because I'm lowered and it lets me adjust out the preload on my swaybar.

BTW... you need LOWER control arms to adjust camber... not upper control arms... upper arms adjust toe... yes?

 

I had the Altas on and they creaked and clicked all of the time. They were really noisy. It is back to stock, but someday we'll get the TSW's

 

I'm using the ones that came w/ the Webb Extreme bar - no complaints w/ them at all.

Uh..... maybe somebody got upper and lower confused. Because that's backwards... I've been adjusting camber for the past week with lowers only... it's simple geometry based on where the control arms connect to the trailing arm...

But, yeah, TSW endlinks are excellent and silent.

 

Hey... I wish I had uppers and lowers. Just because the H-Sports are SOOOO much nicer and stronger than OEM. So it's all good.

 

Camber can be adjusted using either upper or lower rear control arms; it is more convenient to adjust using the lowers. Toe adjustment should be performed via the trailing arm bracket. To manipulate toe with the control arms will affect track (the distance between the wheels). The proper approach is to set the upper arms to stock length, adjust camber with the lowers, and toe by moving the trailing arm bracket. Wacking things happen with the camber curve when you try to adjust toe using the control arms. It’s up to you to educate the alignment tech if he’s not aware of how to do it.

I’ve removed the threads from an Alta endlink with less than 30ft-lb torque, have seen a broken Alta endlink, and a frozen Alta; I say forget the Altas.

 

I say forget the Alta's also.



And this was after I replaced the Alta rod ends with Aurora rod ends.
Replaced with TSW / Powergrid end links and have had no issues since.

Yes, all new MINIs have slotted trailing arm bushing brackets for adjusting toe (that’s why there is a small door below the skirt to fit a 16mm socket on the end of an extension through), loosen the three bolts, move the bracket, tighten (74ft-lb), there is a short learning curve involved because when the bolts are screwed down it tends to move the toe setting so one must learn to compensate.
