Sweet Jesus, Teddy. What can I say other than what we all have said and felt over the last week or so? MY prayer is that you can come out of this. Get well, my friend. Thank you, Dave, for sending this and bringing us up to par.
FYI, talked with his daughter tonight. I've got more to share, but it is not yet public knowledge (we're still getting a hold of family).... this is all a result of the cancer and the prognosis is not good- at best they are saying three months. For right now we're hoping he tolerates the dialysis and that it makes him well enough to wake up and get chemo.
Thanks Dave. I attempted to reach out to his Daughter on facebook, but it being my first attempt to use the platform, I don't know if it got through or not.
Damn it ! I just got a call from Jayne (Teddy’s daughter) and he has not gotten any better and has worsened. They are taking him off of life support, removing the intubation tub, taking him off the sedatives and trying to get him away for the family so they can talk to him one last time. Sorry I am upset and can’t type anymore.
I just really don't have words. Any that has met Teddy knows what a honorable guy he is. Dave thanks for the updates and all you did for Teddy.
Man, I'm not sure what to say that hasn't been already. Very sad to hear this.. my heart goes out to him and the family. Dave - thanks for the update.
Damn it! I agree with you 100% Dave. I'm just glad I got to speak with him for a few minutes last Thursday. He was already making plans for next years MOTD. I do hope he had a chance for his family to say goodbye. RIP Teddy. You will be missed old friend.
RIP Teddy you will be missed. I only met you once & from that one meeting I could tell you were a great guy. We'll catch up later.
I met Teddy last year at MOTD. A beautiful man with a beautiful car. I hope I get to spend my last few days doing what I love, surrounded by MINI folk.
Awwwwww, Teddy, why did you have to go? I'm sick at heart and will pray for you, your family and all the many friends you made in this life. Rest in Peace, my friend.
RIP Teddy! Six years ago we met through this forum and were friends since. It hurts to know that he is gone, but I’m thankful that he is finally at peace. It’s been a roller coaster since I’ve known him of different health issues, but he always kept his spirits high and loved everyone. He was an amazing man and a true friend, he will definitely be missed, and I am thankful to have known him. Dave, thank you for the updates. I wish there were better news, but we all knew at MOTD that things were going down hill. In a way I think he knew it too, and was determined to make it to Fontana to see his friends one last time. God Speed Brother, you’ll always be in my heart. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
May the Road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the warm sun shine on your face, And the soft rain fall on your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hands. And may you be three days in heaven before the devil knows you’re dead.
Sorry to hear about Teddy. I meet him at the Mini Meet East in Columbus a couple of years ago and he was a great guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
