    I searched and didn't find anything up top.

    Is there no engine temp gauge in my R55? My R53 had some a coolant leak at one point (high engine temp was the sign).

    I'm sure I am just missing something -- is that a gauge you can leave out? :fingerscrossed:

    You're not missing anything, your MINI is: a temp gauge. You can get any number of OBD monitoring tools which will display the temp, but you won't find it on your dash.

    Interesting. I didn't know that a car would not have that.

    I'll have to get a plug in gauge shortly.

    There are dummy warnings that will show up if the car starts overheating... but it's already too late at that point.

    Just wait to you get a newer F56 it does not even have an oil dipstick.
