LMAO!!! I put my guess in for posterity, but it's hidden in a cryptic post on another forum (went right over the heads of the sewers too.). But if it's right, I'm taking full credit..
LOL, yeah it was WAY cryptic... I've narrowed it down to two and I am leaning towards one over the other just because of size, location, and seeming willingness to expand their business to different locations; but it is just a simple and totally otherwise unfounded guess that I'm not throwing out there so as not to raise unfounded rumors. I'll let this play out and hope for the best for everyone involved.
If is true, I really hope he hires more help... .I know of WAY more places that could be on the list....but from what I've heard.....it not sounding like it.....
Well just for fun I am going to put my guess on the line (please this is a fun guess, no factual knowledge what so ever). Starts with a V ends with a G and what a hammer. I hope I am right as they bring a lot to the table and could take the TSW line to higher levels and they are Texas too!
I reposted over at the sewing site. I had it narrowed down to two; I think my first pick was WAY off, but I think my second pick may have nailed it. I'm done guessing, 'cause if it's not one of my two, then I have no idea who it is.
It isn't your second pick either.. They are too busy working on their own things. Which are more software related - on top of that they are busy racing. You've got a couple well qualified Texans that would fit the bill better than most that have been listed. It would be nice to see Mr. Red take things over since he has been in the performance industry for quite some time - plus he knows his sh*t.
Suddenly it crystal clear--It's Palo Uber! Or maybe Whore-izon! Well hell, I give up then. As long as it goes to a good vendor with the same quality that TSW provided, all is good. I really hope things work out for all the TSW gang though, and like I said earlier, it would be incredibly cool if they continue to develop stuff that can be sold through the vendor taking over; those guys really know their stuff.
I have a great distain for people being cryptic. But to ease my irritation... I'll play along. Watroitotoredrks...
I've got five on that too. I wonder if they're still open for business? I'll have to call tomorrow to find out.
Guess this clears it up. This is on TSW's site: Welcome to Texas Speedwerks Texas Speedwerks has sold our inventory and IP to a very good dealer/installer. The new owner will manufacture and sell our great products on a new website. The new owner is Waylen Hunsucker and his company is Way Motor Works in Atlanta, GA. Website: Way Motor Works Ph: 317-201-8670 All of our products have been removed from this website except the SWAG which is on sale for less than half price - grab a T-Shirt or Sticker while they last! Choose package pickup on check out and we will ship it for FREE!
Hehe...My first guess was right. I should win a free keychain or something... Makes perfect sense though, and it was the result I was hoping for--and it also means all the TSW goodies will be taken care of for a long, long time, don't see WMW going anywhere, especially with MINI continuing to expand.... Bet Dustin's not too happy though.
Well thats a fine mess.... Spent hours with Way over the weekend plotting the announcement. Oh well...
