This is very true statement Dave. History shows that the "Mini" did not change and vanished. Lets hope the "MINI" does not do that. I think BMW has been looking at "history". You on the other hand......are living in a dream of your own making.

mini was bought and owned by Range Rover and they ran it into the ground.
It had nothing to do with change it had to do with poor management.
BMW picked up the brand and re-released it and now it too is following the same path. (Poor Management /design wise) -

I've posted my intent to buy a second mini as a DD to keep miles off the GreyLenz. I decided a few months ago to wait and see what the 3rd gen would look like and how it is spec'd. I'm not excited. I'll wait for better pictures but I have to order before Sept to get a 2nd gen.
Hmmm.
