mini was bought and owned by Range Rover and they ran it into the ground.

It had nothing to do with change it had to do with poor management.

BMW picked up the brand and re-released it and now it too is following the same path. (Poor Management /design wise)

:cornut: But DaveO. BMW must be doing something right or their sales numbers wouldn't continue to increase. Just saying................... I remember in years gone by that Ford Mustang went from nice to square box ugly and back to nice again. Perhaps MINI in a year or two will come out with another 'killer' MINI.

I've posted my intent to buy a second mini as a DD to keep miles off the GreyLenz. I decided a few months ago to wait and see what the 3rd gen would look like and how it is spec'd. I'm not excited. I'll wait for better pictures but I have to order before Sept to get a 2nd gen.

    Hmmm.

They gotta switch it up. Do something different without being different. A couple more generations down the road, a couple decades away. Then they will release a "retro" MINI that takes you back to the days when you were young and in your R53 (me), and I will be compelled to buy it.
