    I take it your car was paid off then? I've got gap coverage on my 2004 and 2010 since I'm still making payments on both.

    Thats what I am hoping as well. There are two MCS Convertibles I have my eye on as well as a MC Convertible for a good price as well.

    Sorry for your loss, but glad the MINI does its job (and well!). On a brighter note, somewhere a scrapyard will be getting a lot of good parts! :)

    Unfortunately yeah. I just hope I can rescue an abandoned Cooper S Convertible at a local CarMax.

    Update!

    I just got a new car today.
    A 2010 Ford Focus Coupe SE.
    Its not as responsive as a MINI but I wasnt expecting it to be as responsive.

    Now I'm mourning the loss of your MINI. There's nothing wrong with the Focus, and the old SVT models and RS models in Europe would be hot, it's just that what Ford offers us now in the US is so plebeian compared to Europe.

    I keed. I keed. I know what you mean. The offerings in the compact market that Ford has right now are booring. When I was looking at cars I looked at the Focus and one thing did totally blow my mind. They still have drum brakes in the rear. :shocked: Hopefully after the initial launch of the FIesta there will be a turbo version available. We'll see.

    Actually that should be in the works. Ford is trying to get hybrid economy without the hybrid drive train by expanding their eco-boost line of engines. It seems a turbo four is in the cards.
