I hope they change the styling before they ruin the entire MINI brand. Such a departure from the classy and timeless styling of the previous two generations. I believe the R56 and R53 could've been made for years to come without looking old. The R56 still looks newer and fresher than the F56.

I don't think all of those holes beneath the bumper are scoops. I think one pair is actually where you step up and put your feet (like on an 18-wheeler), so you can get up high enough to reach in and check the oil. :biggrin5:

That body kit makes the front & rear look even larger & more stretched out. Stretch your dollar with an F55 JCW kit? ut:

 

I still find it difficult to understand how it made it through the approval process... Did anyone show up for the review? Was the designer the only one that voted on the approval for production....

 

Startin to look like a stretched MINI limo....

Seems so many folks are "bashing" the look they are moderating and deleting some comments....wonder if they will selectively turn off comments to prevent more negative comments....
Hate to say it....that bumper makes the aftermarket one from Japan look good!! Heck...never thought I would think a JCW part looks ricey..... Looks busy...hopefully it is just a fake or has some fake parts on it to confuse folks....

 

The series two has a certain elegance that the series three doesn't have.

 

I think this is the closest thing to a compliment Dave ever gave an R56!

That must mean the F56 is atrocious!

This design team was given a good baton, and then ran down a dark alley with it. Sure hope somebody gets the boot real soon.....

 

The great thing is, with the nacelles on that front bumper, the JCW MINI can ingest an entire flock of low-flying birds with virtually no turbine damage.

 

They should keep it in Munich and use it as a street vacuum.

 

I can not take credit for that I lifted it from the comment section on MotoringFile before they delete it because it not Rah Rah MINI.
