I have to say after reading the Wall Street Journal article yesterday my first thought was why fix what was not broken. The Gas Guzzler "Tax" worked. If you want to buy a car that doesn't meet the US regs for fuel mileage pay the fine. It's worked for many years now and to drop it and give a free pass to those that can afford it is foolish.
