Hey Joel,
The new R56 "GP-ish" wing looks real good. Give me a call sometime and we can talk about my R53 JCW "floppy wing" project. We talked about it at the Dragon.
Mark should have all my contact info in the G4 book you guys had set up at the Dragon.
I should be on the 1st page, as the 1st entry under Dave A.
Just a quick refresher: We talked about chopping up my JCW wing. It is the same one Graham has on his little red toy rocket car. We talked about cutting the underside back mounts, tilting it up in the air so it does something besides look pretty. We also talked about mounting some type of "GP-ish" end pieces at the ends to stop the ends from flopping in the wind.
Talk to you guys later keep up the great work,
well except Wayne he does not do any work.:incazzato:ut:

Just sent a few thing down to FL. to be tested. Items Jan has been referring to in his postings. I am anxiously waiting their results and impressions.
Do you have my phone number? -
OK, because you asked. Remember this is only a test bed to test angles of attack, grip levels and any drag issues we might encounter. Enough disclaimers.
This is the test-bed I was using at the track, fiberglass construction...
This is a shot after our "water tunnel" procedure. High pressure water from the front of the car with particulates to show the airflow. Notice how the airflow "sticks" to the underside creating negative air pressure below and a suction effect. Of course there is positive down pressure on top of the device also.
We plan to combine all of the data gathered to produce a world-class product that works. Joel's GP wing, my track testing of test beds, and other inputs will bring all of this together. -

No I will not be making it out to Dayton. I also do not have your number but I will call Mark later today for it or have him pass along my number to you.
Good luck working with Larry...ut: I am kidding he is a cool guy and has a nice ride you can tweak.

Here are some photo's of the Group 4 diffuser that we installed on my GP at the Dragon
. I wanted to post them sooner while the thread was cookin, but time got busy. But, the diffuser's take great advantage of the GP belly pans. I did have it on the track a couple of weeks ago and the car felt very planted in the faster corners and softer apex'es. Did notice that the balance of the car moved slightly more to the rear with the straight exhaust and smaller battery.
Will definitely need a G4 spitter, car was noticeably front end lighter at speed:arf:.Attached Files:

Glad to hear
Have you noticed an increase in power with our exhaust ? Our calculations indicate your "GP" gained 12 to 14 hp but I would like to see it on a dyno. I know dynos give dif. results but they are so much to play with
BTW, our web site is up and running. Not fancy nor finished yet.

Yes, we will have a test street MINI this coming week
Ian Stewart is running our design under his box and so far so good
We will post results of the street MINI as soon as we get them.

Mr. Putterfarm Sir
....Yes there is a very noticable and enjoyable increase in torque from the new exhaust. On the track, when exiting an apex I could get some quick distance between me and the non-MINI's behind me and only then at the next braking area would they close in.......except for that pesky Ferrari 430!

That looks like one tasty canard full of downforce goodness!!
I havent forgotten about the canards....that was actually something I was thinking about as I was going around the track too.
I'll be watching Joel......Thanks for the teaser!!
