    Only 1!!!

Is it possible to get a diffuser sent to me in the next 3 days. I have 4 track days starting Thursday back to back at VIR.

I'd love to try out one of your rear diffusers. (except I keep hearing there are 3 of them but I only see one on your website)

    I need one now.

I have 3 days to install a new set of coilovers, powerflex bushings and brackets, rear adjustable control arms, my new rear JCW REAR seats and last but not least, the new Alta AP with tune.

So why not add a diffuser to the list.

Oh, did I mention I haven't installed my harnesses or rollbar yet. (harnessed may make it, rollbar, definitely not)

    Let me know.

EDIT: I lied.... 2 questions. I've got the JCW aero kit on my car. Is the diffuser on a JCW kit and regular R56 S the same? It's been a while and I can't remember what it looks like. I'm assuming they are the same because I remember people buying the JCW carbon fiber factory diffusers, no?

    Hehehe.

That car is so damn fast you're ready for some aero anyways. Nothing wrong with being aggressive, but it's fun to watch. :D

Ops, sorry. I have not been on line for sometime now. Working on making the final designed parts. Working with a fabricator, at this time, trying to get the parts into production.
Will post photos soon of my final design, prototype, so at least you will see the design. Once pre-production pieces are fit, I will also post photos of those pieces.

I talked to the guys at Group4 today... great bunch of guys. They're serious about selling a good product and I'd love to have one of their diffusers.

However, after talking to Mark today, it appears that not only will I have to cut the rear factory diffuser (piece of crap filler panel) but I'll have to cut into the bumper sideways approx. 4" on each side to make it fit.

Now, I do plan on keeping the car and being in the bodyshop business, I have no problem doing the install... what I do have a problem with is cutting into perfectly virgin plastic. There's something that I find myself fighting with myself about and I just don't want to do it.

I know M7's unit utilizes the factory width of the factory diffuser but I don't like the look of theirs. (unless I could shorten it a bit... it might look like it didn't come right off a race car)

    Decisions, decisions....

I'm wondering if I could buy group4's unit and narrow it myself. I'll call Mark tomorrow and discuss the possibility.

    We'll sleep on it...

If you ever plan to sell the car you could undo any clearing you have to do to the bumper, could be done for less then $150. (used bumper and some paint)

IMO $150 which you may or may not have to spend is worth it for a product that has been tested as much as this one.

Really looking forward to the release of that wing....it be so purty.

I installed a Group 4 diffuser on my GP and had to cut into the rear facia, but not high enough to go into the bumper material. But, the piece I cut into was an insert between the side moldings for the wheel wells and was easily wider than the diffuser itself. I plan to keep my GP for as long as humanly possible, and will slowly become a track specific machine. Though, if I ever want to return the rear facia to stock the piece that was cut into is relatively cheap (for a BMW part) and easy to replace.

Soooo for people with a r53 Aero Rear bumper, there will be LOTs of cutting involved ? Anyway to maybe integrate it into the recessed areas w/ the stickers faking holes ?

To allow the diffuser to work effectively the air from under the car needs to exit at an upward angle. This seems to be not much of a problem for most. The width of the diffuser, to fit without cutting into the facia of aero bumper facias, is under discussion and testing. This might work for daily drivers that are tracked. We will keep you informed as to our results.

Getting feed-back like this is one thing that keeps us improving or modifying our aero aids, THANK YOU

That may be so for an MCs but I assure you, you will never find a jcw aerobat bumper for that price.

Not to mention, at my cost being in the bodyshop business, id be hard pressed at getting out for materials for 150 bucks.

how about finding a used MCS bumper cover to cut up and fit the diffuser while keeping your jcw bumper intact?
