trying to get a 250+whp car quiet on a straight through exhaust is not going to happen in my opinion..........then again........what is your definition of "quiet"? lol............
I have the JCW on now, and I've heard the Borla. If the sound is close to the Borla, I'd be fine with that--in the MINI, my only long drives are to the track. I do drive it around town, so I have to stay legal... At this point, I'm more concerned about the battery box--I'm willing to trade off more noise for a diffuser friendly, non-battery box altering exhaust.
Staying legal is no problem, really quiet (not noticed) ain't gonna happen. Like the man said :250 whp will not equal quiet. Driving around town without horsing it and shifting at a reasonable RPM and you'll be fine:ihih: With this exhaust you'll be able to use your HP Mark

Group4autosport Diffuser and splitter at MITM Here is a couple Pics of one of the G4 mini coopers and my mcs with the diffuser and splitter during MITM and MTTS This diffusers reduces drag from the rear area which kinda acts as a parachute without underbelly covering, It basically covers up the big ole' gap! waiting for a Suspension Upgrade!! So It will be lowered, front and back!!!
Those are too cool. You guys have been playing Forza 3 haven't you? Those aero kits look just like the ones that are branded Forza in the game... Now if you could come up with a wing that deflects air down the back of my R56 and keeps the dirt from accumulating on even the shortest of drives...
The faster you go the better the diffuser works and will help keep your rear window clean, just saying :eek6: A spoiler extension or a wing that functions will help too Mark
I have a wing, but not sure it is what you would call functioning. It is this style: If it was up a tad and directed the air downwards through the tunnels, I think it would work better at keeping the boot area blown off.
Better shots of the wing on GTiki It seems that if a bit more of a directional lip was added on the bottom backside of the holes, and then a bit more elevation would direct a lot of air down the back window. To cancel out any lift that may create, add more of a lip on the top trailing edge of the wing. How far off base am I???
JohnGo's Famous Wings Here is a quick sketch - literally on a sticky note. You could even keep it flat, but have a sliding plate that you could adjust for highway or track-day uses. Just a thought.
Maybe this is your answer: This works pretty well to help the dirty boot problem and adds down force to the rear of the car.
