Congrats on the new member of your family! It's a nice looking gun.

I'm thinking I may have to pick up the XD Mod 2 in .45 that was rolled out at the SHOT Show. I'm normally not a Springfield fan, but I may have to give them another chance.

My dad bought a CZ 85 Combat a few years ago. Damned nice piece. He wanted that one because he is a lefty and wanted the ambidextrous safety. One of the nicest 9mm I have had the pleasure to fire.

Wow, so your screen name is your line of work, nice engraving. Is this part of your collection or are you gifting it to "me". :)

    Intricate detail!

Recently saw R. Lee Ermey shoot the .50 S&W on his TV show. They showed it in superslowmo and the shock wave going through his wrist and arm were unbelievable. Can't believe his arm didn't break.

I love my .357. it's accurate and reliable. I got it in '84 because the .38 was so cheap and the .357 wasn't bad either. Sort of like what 9mm is now. It is the gun my wife learned with.

I had that kind of problem with some reloads in the past. But it wasn't all of them. Probably comes down to how many times they were shot. Expansion of the brass.

I haven't found reloads to buy in a long time around here.

For plinking I use whatever .38 SPCL ammo I can get for a reasonable price.
For defense carry in my Ruger LCR I use Speer JHP .357 for short barrel revolver. Lower recoil and muzzle flash.

As for reloads... I only shoot my own.

This is a joke. Since when do criminals care if they are obeying a law. Isn't that what a criminal is. "If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns"

Interesting to see, in the slow mo, how the bullets from one shot have different velocities. It looks consistent that the left is faster then the right.

When you're talking 900-1000FPS, the difference in when the individual firing pins strike the primer could account for the perceived difference.

It has been quiet around this bit of M/A, on Saturday I have a MITM meeting up in Loveland, I think I will go up early and claim my Ruger Single-Six 22MAG.

Then I will try it out on Monday at the indoor range, not sure when I will take it out to the farm in Missouri, perhaps in August, depends on if flying or doing a road trip.

You all enjoy, have a great weekend.

Got my stuff from Brownells, fast and not to expensive.

Not 100% on the Williams sights, the front blade looks like a good piece, it was easy to fit. Not sure I like the rear adjustable sight, it does not fully adjust, so i will stay with the Ruger Single-Six adjustable and get some white dots painted on before the next day at the range.

Did get some Rosewood grips for the Single-Six, seem to be a universal, so I will have to do a bit of fitting, pictures when I get them mounted up.

Was going to go over, but a big reunion in Iowa is going to keep me off the range. :(

    Next week! :)
