Today's range
Went to the Tanner Loveland Gun Show last Saturday, I picked up a new sight at a good price, today I had to try it out - Osprey mini red-dot. red/green with 4 reticules, 5 brightness levels.
Final target, just for grins.
Next will be the TCM 22 rifle when and if it finally gets here.:cryin:

Always, always clean the bore from the chamber end of the barrel. The only exceptions to this, in my case is lever guns and revolvers. In those instances I try to use a bore snake or something similar, or at the minimum, a bore guide. Use a bore guide where appropriate and use a soft (aluminum, brass, carbon fiber) cleaning rod. Sorry to be long winded, but when I worked in a gun shop I saw more than a few nice firearms damaged by ham handed cleaning practices.-

TAURUS CURVE
Looks like a new offering from Taurus for concealed carry. An odd looking little pistol, but I think it warrants looking into. When they are released, if I can find one for around three bills I'll probably give one a try.

My 7 year old Grandsons first deer. Because of people on neighboring land hunting and pipeline construction there is a shortage of bucks and an over population of does in the local herd. So, this season he, his Mom and stepdad are trying to thin out the does and restock the freezer. He took this little doe at dusk with the .243 he got for his seventh birthday.

That makes me wonder how many MINI5280 folks I could get onto the range, perhaps Pawnee Grasslands in Northern Colorado.
Might have to suggest to Jim to have a join up at his place with 5280 and his Wyoming group called MCOW, I know he shoots off his back deck.Just a few more miles north of Pawnee.
Hummm, good idea... mrntd!

It was a fun day! Those guns haven't had that many rounds go through them in one day for quite some time! Now I need to dig out my dental picks and get to work this week... Maybe I will just start up the fryer and do the bolt/carrier of the AR the easy way.

Best part about that target is, Teresa did it! And the sight (EoTec) on my AR isn't even close to its normal zero. (I was too busy with the R53 last summer to spend a lot of time with it.)

It shoots excellent and makes me look like a better shooter.
Today's album!
This is freehand, 30 feet on a rest, first shots were high, adjusted the V rest. It is a very fine 9. Not a static rest, just a crude V or Y rest. First 10 shots fired other than the five at the factory.
I was comparing the Beretta and the CZ, Beretta has more recoil and the spread is wider. 3.9 inch barrel versus a 4.6 barrel, polymer versus an all steel pistol.
As an aside, the Beretta will shoot anything, the CZ was a bit finicky with 124 grain FMJ Aguila 9mm, but after about 500 rounds it should be fine too.
With the CZ, no issues with 115 Grain FMJ Federal or 124 Grain FMJ Blazer Brass.
I'm happy. DonA nice way to spend a couple hours at the range.

Here is a pic of my EDC NAA Black widow and knife rig. It is worn down for easier access. Really a great shooting little gun and a blast to shoot.
Also, I carry a 5.11 day bag with a Glock 42 .380 loaded with Hornaby critical defense.-

Yes, a Smith 500 Magnum, sadly I am not sure this one will ever be fired, the person I found it for is a collector.
Another problem is finding that box of 20 rounds.
Now that is an interesting little 5th pocket gun. 22 Magnum?
If we take the 500 to the range I will let you know if I get an imprint in my forehead.

Comparisons
A couple things to contemplate. Size matters!
These belong to a friend.
Missing a few, all part of my friends collection.
Something to keep us interested in the last of the cold months.

Today was a trip to the Tanner Gun Show in Denver before our MITM planning meeting.
It appears folks still think 22LR bricks are gold plated. I did find CCI MINI MAG 36gr for $16 for 100 count, which is lower than 2 months ago. But Federal Auto-Match 22LR is up around $30 for 325 count boxes.
Well guess I gotta shoot so I bought some.
Also got some hand loads from a loader I know out of Wyoming 9mm, 38 Special and 357 Mag. At least these were at known reasonable prices.
The 357 is for a soon to be at my house Ruger GP100 MC, I will post a picture when I get it.
Btw, our WY/CO MINI Club MINICOW hosted a club shoot in Loveland, CO last Sunday, we had a solid 30 shooters and MINIs come out to play.
Hard to beat 2 hours of range time for $20, climate controlled and electronic distance range.
It was a bit loud, largest was a guy shooting 270 hand loads in his rifle and one guy was doing AR-15 223 rapid fire which was pretty near automatic rate.
We had the upstairs 10 lane range, so that sounded like ping-pong, glad I had both sets of ear dampers in for this one, plugs and muffs.
Have a great weekend.

I shoot 5.7, 9mm, .22, and .308 calibers. When I'm not shooting, I like to 'mod' (customize) the North American Arms line of revolvers. Here is a picture of my latest.
It is a 1 5/8" barrel, 22 Mag revolver. It is fully engraved (including grips) and set with aprox. .75 carets of diamonds set in 14kt gold. And, yes, I still shoot it...-

Let's all remember to vote correctly in 2016 such that we may keep our 2nd Amendment rights. The NRA has a full list of pro 2nd Amendment politicians. I'll just leave it there so as to not cause a 'knock down drag out' political battle. Keep shooting and MINIng.

The only reloads I will shoot are my own. If you have ever had a cartridge 'case failure' where the brass 'explodes' in the barrel, it will damage the gun and ,maybe, yourself. I know it scared the bejesus out of me.
