    @Redbeard nice shooting! I’m on the road but after watching you shoot I thought it would be nice to take my gun and practice, instead of sitting in my hotel. But the only range is 30 min away and it’s a police station. I’m in San Francisco. So I started watching YouTube I stumbled on this. Thought it was funny. Thanks for being a bad influence:D

    Knock-down power is not a myth and your physics do not account for close range knee and headshots with a shotgun or any gun. You need a working head and legs to stand.

    Example: JFK with video proof. P.s. it was not Oswald, it was more then one highly trained sniper.

    Is anyone shooting? I need some range time and a tune-up. Just go me CC renewed for another 5, now I can put my 40 back into the MINI. :)

    Went shooting a few days ago. I am going to try to go more often. Good just isn't expectable for me anymore. I talked to my neighbor yesterday. Last week one of extended family members was shot and killed last week. It was late and he was part of the neighborhood watch program. He went by a car that had a brother and sister in it, the brother didn't like the way he looked at him. they followed him and when he went down a cove the girl blocked him and the guy opened fire. The truck was hit several times, so was he. He got out of the truck and was running for a house the guy chased him down and shot him a few more times. When the police got there they found a piece of paper still in his hand with the licenses plate number and description of the car. One of the houses had cameras on it, they captured the whole event. The people have been arrested.
    A few months ago I trained one of our captains that got shot at going down the interstate during the day. He got hit in the arm. turns out the shooter was a 17 yearly kid. When the investigators found out who had done it, it was easy to get him. He was in jail already for putting a gun to the back of a kids head and killing him.
    I truly wish we had public hangings!
    Sorry for the rant but this is ops normal in Memphis. Most of the time I let it roll off my back but some days it just pisses me off.

    For those who have let their CC Permit expire, were you able to just pay the regular renew fee or was there some kind of penalty. My friends and I were under the impression that if it expired you might have to completely re -up with class etc....

    In VA you download the renewal form from the VA.gov website and turn the completed form and check for the fee in to the clerk of the court. No penalty. We don't have a requirement for a formal training class. A copy of a DD-214, approved training class, or the approved on line course is all that's required when getting permit the first time.

    I've renewed mine 2 or 3 times but always make sure to start the process a couple months ahead of expiration date.. has only been taking 3 to 4 weeks each time so far.. Just wondered what would happen if it did expire..

    These shoot drills would be more “Real life” if they had people shooting back at you with paintball guns.

    slack is not an option. I have my carry permit, but have not been going to the local indoor range for over a year. Should reintroduce myself to some shooting this season again. With all of your active shootings in the Colorado area, not a good time for us hobby shooting folks.

    We shoot mostly 9. My wife has a couple 22 she shoots some. I shot 9 and a couple 1911’s. One is a single stack 45. My new addition is a 10mm 1911 that holds 16 rounds in the mag. It’s a horse of a gun! We both have Warrior Poet Shadow systems 9’s. Very nice gun the have good triggers and Holosun red dots. You can shoot fast with them. But I am an old guy so I am not a 9 fan. Carry it some but my main fallback is 45. The 10mm some.
    Ammo has come down a lot but not where it was. I mostly buy online, much cheaper.
