Hummm, 22 ammo, I stick with CCI MINI-Mag or Stinger, when I want to shoot a bunch I shoot Federal Match in the 325 count boxes. This all seems to cycle in the Browning Buck Mark fine. Nothing cycles fine in my Chiappa 911 22, it is due to the magazines, cheap plastic carp. Also shoot Federal blue box 500 count and Remington Golden Bullet, key is keeping your 22 auto squeaky clean. I have to presume this is a target/range pistol and not being a EDC. Just my experience, I shoot about 200 rounds per session. Now the 22 magnum CCI I picked up the other day was a bit expensive, I am stocking up for a future purchase 22MAG seems to be gold around here. :cryin: Don
Looking for that "knock down" punch!? [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tEYcUSQDyw"]Double Barreled 1911 pistol quad wield rapid fire! 20 rounds in 1.5 seconds in SlowMo| AF2011 (4K) - YouTube[/ame]
That is two handfuls of 1911 variant. Good video with Jerry, he is a master but just a bit of a character. double barrel .45 ACP 1911 pistols made by Arsenal Firearms out of Italy, not sure I would want to even shoot this monster.
Interesting to see, in the slow mo, how the bullets from one shot have different velocities. It looks consistent that the left is faster then the right.
When you're talking 900-1000FPS, the difference in when the individual firing pins strike the primer could account for the perceived difference.
^^^ Exactly ^^^ Watch the speed of the bullets, they are within a couple FPS, just one leaves a little late... Kinda like drag racing bullets.
And seriously... close your eyes and listen. How many bullet holes would you have expected to find? 20, 10, or 5!? The high speed shows there is definitely not a simultaneous trigger pull... but I know my ears only hear 5 shots, not 10. It's only when you have expensive equipment to see the actual delta that it makes someone care about it.
Range day today with the Ruger 357 and the little Browning 22LR, it was a relaxing day, groups were OK, not stellar, but fun! Guy next to me was shooting a Palmetto AR-15 pistol (SBR), it was putting out some fine groups and loud as hell. Might post a pic. later or not!
Went to the Tanner Gun show in Denver this afternoon, had a thin crowd so I was able to look and ask some questions. Found some 22LR CCI Stinger at not outrageous pricing, but 50 rounds at 15 and 12 is still damn high, the 12 was bulk pricing since the guy had them not in the pretty CCI stinger plastic box. Founds some new 357 Mag 158grain from TEX-X at $20 for 50 count. Not reloads, so we shall see how they did, they are out of Wyoming. All in all a good day, I did see some old Colt SAA units, folks are pretty proud of them, as the cheapest was $2200 and the most expensive looked to be about $4400. Must be the "COLT' stamped products. I did drive my 07 down, parked between a couple of big boy trucks, that was fun.
I truly think you would be better off getting kicked by an actual mule over this thing... [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xohy9gWz7kk"]The Guys from Knight Rifles "Americas Muzzleloader" Shoot the .950 JDJ - YouTube[/ame]
Went to a planning meeting at MINI of Loveland for the August MITM track day. Went up early and dropped by one of my favorite stores, Sportsman's Warehouse, they have pretty good store for rifles, revolvers and a bunch of automatics. I have been looking for a Ruger Single-Six (new style) in 22LR/22MAG, they had three. Wow, candy store. I was tempted to get the 6 inch barrel, but settled for the 5 1/2 barrel blued. I will let you know how it shoots in a few weeks. This will become the farm gun for this and that, at least on the farm I can shoot in the backyard. Don
It has been quiet around this bit of M/A, on Saturday I have a MITM meeting up in Loveland, I think I will go up early and claim my Ruger Single-Six 22MAG. Then I will try it out on Monday at the indoor range, not sure when I will take it out to the farm in Missouri, perhaps in August, depends on if flying or doing a road trip. You all enjoy, have a great weekend. Don
I might take my Tommy Gun up to Jim's place for the photo shoot Saturday night... Other than that, only my .45 has left the house in the last 3 months. Disappointing really, but I have too much stuff going on lately to get out and spit some lead down range.
