I customize NAA revolvers. I have started another project and thought y'all might like to follow the project. I have taken a NAA LR revolver and have textured the back strap and the underside.

I am going to gold plate the trigger, cylinder and pin. The frame will be highly polished and a gold do on the top of the front sight. OR...some other ideas may come to mind. Any suggestions?????

My old man took me shooting a few times as a kid, but it was always rifles. It wasn't until recently that I got into pistol shooting, and have finally purchased my own, A Sig 226 which fits in my hand like it was made for it. The wife is looking to get a M&P Shield, which is like a toy in my hands.

I try to get out to shoot at least once a month, but I have a lot of gun friends around, so the hard part is not blowing a ton of $$ on ammo :)

A good day at the indoor range

Had some time to myself this afternoon, range time. Shot for 1.5 hours with my 22s and the 357/38 spec.

Shot some 38 Spec. +P, some hot stuff almost as hot as 357 load. Still playing with some 130 grain 38 Spec., it shoots nice and hot.

I have found the 38 spec. rounds 158 grain from Brazil Magtech are hotter than our U S loads.

    Today's therapy in pictures. :)

25 and 30 feet, the Ruger Single-Six checked out rather nicely, going up to upgrade the sights and put on some wood grips.

The Ruger 357 continues to impress and my little Buckmark is my therapy unit, it is bliss to shoot all the way out to 60 feet.

    Enjoy..

Teddy I think the gold cylinder is a bit gangster. Just the small accents or inlay some engraving.

I finally got my Sig barrel back from being trued. It is a police surplus P6 and had ware effecting the accuracy. Now to test it at the range.

Have you considered Aftermarket? EFK Firedragon makes a nice one. Also available threaded.

I was looking at a nice vented barrel but this was free. It helps having a gun smith as your son. The only thing is dads stuff isn't a high priority.

Got my stuff from Brownells, fast and not to expensive.

Not 100% on the Williams sights, the front blade looks like a good piece, it was easy to fit. Not sure I like the rear adjustable sight, it does not fully adjust, so i will stay with the Ruger Single-Six adjustable and get some white dots painted on before the next day at the range.

Did get some Rosewood grips for the Single-Six, seem to be a universal, so I will have to do a bit of fitting, pictures when I get them mounted up.

Was going to go over, but a big reunion in Iowa is going to keep me off the range. :(

    Next week! :)

I have an old Williams Micrometer sight with a globe front sight on my 7MM IHMSA pistol. It is an excellent sight that I used with success out to 200 Meters. Way too big a sight for a single six though. I stuck with the stock sights on both of mine. I picked up a set of rosewood sights from Ruger several years ago for one of my single sixes and they predictably were a perfect fit. The Ruger site often has clearance sales and I believe that's how I got my grips. They also had Ruger stamped cavalry style flap holsters for a great price. Only problem was they are for a 5" barrel and both mine are 7". Too good a deal to pass up though and a good excuse to buy another single six. :D

Loaded up the Mossberg and my son and we went to shoot sporting clays for the first time. Had a lot of fun and since he is only 9 he did a wonderful job keeping score.

Getting back from Iowa has taken a toll this week, still hot and much to do, but did get some MINI time the 5280 folks.

Will try out the Single Six (new front sight) and the CZ at the range on Monday, still have to work those grips.

Thanks for the hints about the Ruger website store, need to check that more often. I wonder if the 5 1/2 barrel will fit in that 5 inch flap holster, need one or similar.

Will post a pic or two after the therapy session.

    :)

Well I am getting to damn old, was going to shoot this afternoon, looked at my calendar and low and behold, I have an eye appointment at 1, crap....

This one they check everything, so after this one I get to drive home I hope after I can see. Guess it is good to get a tuneup once in awhile. :)

At least I hope they don't mess with my dominant eye for shooting. :nonod:

Finally, the Williams Fibre orange front sight makes a big difference, the little Ruger is right on.

Pushed some 115 grain through the CZ, going to put some new grips on this one and do wrist exercises, the SP-01 is an excellent automatic, this shooter a bit sloppy.

    :0

Pictures, when I get a moment, nothing stellar, just good therapy. :smile5:

Going to the shooting tomorrow. I can't decide if I want to trade my H&K USP compact for a H&K P2000. I love my USP but the P 2000 would be easer to carry in the summer.

From what I have seen the USP is a fine piece. You should keep it and get the P2000 for the hot carry months. :)

I shot my CZ 75 yesterday, it would not be my daily carry unless we go to open carry in the cities which is not going to happen. It is a big gun and shoots true!

    :)
