Yep, the trigger was set light enough to be measured in ounces. Way too light. It's ~1.5 pounds now. Still a light trigger, but about right for a varmint rifle that'll be shot from a rest. Stock is by Boyds Custom Stocks. Riiiight. . . . next time some ****** asks for my wallet, I'll ask him to wait until I go home and get my rifle. I like my rifles, but they're a little inconvenient to hang on the belt.
Open carry an AR... Nobody wants to be the one to mess with that guy. Had a friend from down in Colorado Springs come up to pick up his AR15 I was doing some work to once... He showed up to the house on his Harley... Slung it across his back and rode 90 miles back home! Didn't have a single problem, and cars on the highway actually kept their distance and noticed he was there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Picked up one of these the other day. Smith and Wesson M&P Shield Ported 9mm. Smaller and lighter then my wife's Sig 22. Slide and slide release is VERY stiff but should loosen up as it gets broken in. Fiber Optic sights show up well.. Took it to the range yesterday for 50 rounds and with the shorter barrel compared to my full size H&K 45 I'm not near as accurate with it yet..Hopefully that will come with practice..
I love my 9mm Shield. It is breaking in very nicely now that we've put about 200 rounds through it. I just bought a Bersa Thunder 380cc last week. Can't wait to pop a few with it next week.
I believe they did a shot-gun shoot one time (clays?), maybe Chad of Detroit Tuned set it up. Not sure but it rings true to me. Not sure of where the range was located.... I got my Volquartsen Victory barrel today, it was packed like a fine jewelry item, nice piece, I will post up a couple pictures later after switching. I plan on the range Wednesday to check it out. Don
Yep there was a clay shootout for the Dragon 2 years ago... Not sure where that range is because I didn't go. I do remember seeing a range while I was out and about last year, somewhere near Bryson City. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I finally got the call from Madison County yesterday for my CCW. I'll be going this afternoon to pick it up. Yay
Finally got the new target barrel for the SW22 and took the time on Friday to check it out. Took off the factory barrel, (2 set screws), put on the new I Fluted target barrel, check zero on the red-dot, it was on for 1 inch groups at 30 feet. Shot some Federal blue box, shot some CCI Mini-Mag out at 50 feet, stayed in the black for a few mags of plinking fun. Not sure if I will do Bullseye this summer, if they offer a two handed shoot, I might do it again. Some pictures for grins. These folks make some nice stuff as has been noted by others on this thread. Including a nice free hat. The fluted blowback compensator is threaded on the barrel which is threaded, comes with a protector and the blowback compensator.
Next is a set of grips for the S&W 22LR, needs more for my hand which is not large. I like the way it shoots with the new barrel, not sue I like the red-dot, might try a C-More reflex. Don
Something I realize during my weekly shoots with my wife. Since my eyes aren't what they use to be picking up the black on black sights with my peripheral vision isn't what it use to be. So I get some bright sight paint. I did the front in green and the rear in red now I can pick up the sights no problem. My shooting is much better now. You may say why didn't just get better sights. Well for the LCP you can't easily they are part on the slide. They aren't made for my Hi Standard .22s. A bunch of work on the .357's front sight. So the only one would have been the Sig.
Picked up my Bersa Thunder 380cc today. It'll be a few days before I can go and shoot it, but it's great to have it in hand now, just the same!
Sure thing. It'll be this time next week before I can get to the range. Unless someone pisses me off between then and now..... Then, I'm guess'n I won't remember.
Some recent activity, all standing LCP .380 @ 20yrs SIG P6 @25yrs, need to adjust the sight a little Hi Standard Citation @ 25yrs, 3 mags, last one I got right
PS90 the little monster that loads from the top, nice! Heard about your issues, hard road, but it is doable. My thoughts with you on these times. Don
