We would do "guns in a box" drills...

    Which included:
    1 M9
    1 M4
    1 SAW
    1 240-B
    1 M2 .50 caliber
    1 MK19
And sometimes a complete TOW missile system

All fully broke down and put into a big grab bag...
Only 1/2 hour to get them all put together, set up, functions checked, and ready for use!
    :D

All that would be beyond this old AF puke, we did our drills with the Colt 45 and the M16, so I would have to have a manual and lots and lots of time, say 2 years. :)

There you go talking bad about us old AF pukes. I don't think it would take more than a couple of weeks. :D I mostly carried a S&W Combat Masterpiece (Model-15) and/or a CAR-15, but in basic all I got to shoot was the M-16.

By no means am I experienced, but I am VERY excited to continue gun skills training that my husband and I started this year. That said, our home defense is a Mossberg 550 pistol grip I refer to fondly as Big Bertha. In anticipation of starting a collection, we bolted down a ginormous safe, safety first!:biggrin5:
We are both awaiting our Colorado CCW Permits (45 days). I am eyeing a 42. It fits well in a small woman's hand for conceal. We will both add Glock 9 mm and a couple of rifles for skeet. Research, research, research!:biggrin5:

    TAURUS CURVE

Looks like a new offering from Taurus for concealed carry. An odd looking little pistol, but I think it warrants looking into. When they are released, if I can find one for around three bills I'll probably give one a try.

Yeah not for me... Too much plastic, and this comes from a Glock/HK composite frame pistol guy.
Dont care much for lasers either, but if they could develop a tiny high powered LED light and mold it into the frame under or in the guide rod/spring, that would be cool.

The Curve was mentioned by the Range GM today as I was shooting the Browning 22 and the Colt 380. It does look interesting, if the price point gets under $350 I might try one out for grins, review said a lot, no malfunctions and good at 10 yards, all you need for a fist fight.

Did ok today with the 22 and a bit spread with the little Colt, I found some 380 ammo put together by a loader up in Wyoming, a bit hot 100 grain. The little Mustang had a bit more felt recoil, my old hand hurts a bit after 150 rounds or so.

Next up 357 Ruger Match Champion, 2015 purchase. Still waiting on the 22TCM Bolt rifle (damn!).... :(

    I won't bore you with a spatter target. :) :)

That's a very interesting design. Well thought out for the market.

I'll stay with my LCP for now.

LCP is a nice little pistol. I was torn between that and a Taurus TCP and ended up going with the latter w/CT laser. Price point and availability was the deciding factor. Not long after that I picked up my Sig P238 and gave the TCP to my sister. Since my Girlfriend started carrying the Sig I alternate between a Ruger LCR .357 and Kimber Custom.

My 7 year old Grandsons first deer. Because of people on neighboring land hunting and pipeline construction there is a shortage of bucks and an over population of does in the local herd. So, this season he, his Mom and stepdad are trying to thin out the does and restock the freezer. He took this little doe at dusk with the .243 he got for his seventh birthday.

Looks like some good hunting this year, since I do not hunt, but I do shoot, thought to share this one that came across my FB feed today.

Thought you might like it, hopes it resolves, yes I do shoot my Beretta at the range too.

    Group Therapy: Enjoy.

I was thinking of doing a drive and shoot in the spring for our local group. The outdoor range at the state park is inexpensive and has plenty of room.

That makes me wonder how many MINI5280 folks I could get onto the range, perhaps Pawnee Grasslands in Northern Colorado.

Might have to suggest to Jim to have a join up at his place with 5280 and his Wyoming group called MCOW, I know he shoots off his back deck. :) Just a few more miles north of Pawnee.

    Hummm, good idea... mrntd!

    :)
