I added a Hogue Handall grip to my LCP. The gun twists a little less in the hand now. My wife and I think the LCP is a better shooter than our Walther PPKs. I've had some other guns catch the edge of the cartridge on the break of the feed ramp. A little smoothing with some emery paper take the edge off the ramp.
I went back to the range today. This time I had better ammo and, unlike before, I was aware of the limp wrist 'thing'. Fifty rounds with no problems. I'm feeling much better now.
Woo hoo!!! Lower target at 30 yards with the help of sand bags. what a great time. Can't wait to do this outdoors....
It was a fun day! Those guns haven't had that many rounds go through them in one day for quite some time! Now I need to dig out my dental picks and get to work this week... Maybe I will just start up the fryer and do the bolt/carrier of the AR the easy way.
Best part about that target is, Teresa did it! And the sight (EoTec) on my AR isn't even close to its normal zero. (I was too busy with the R53 last summer to spend a lot of time with it.)
Well poo and yea, in the same day! For a few months I have been looking for a Ruger GP100 357 Match Champion, I passed up on the chance to buy a couple but funds were not built up enough. So missed the last one I saw. Over the last year, since I started shooting again, I have been wanting to get a nice 9mm CZ, but the right one. Well, my local JAX store just happened to get a CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical into the store last week. So today, when I could not find a GP100 at a store I wanted to buy from I went over to see the CZ again, it found a new home. It is the short sighted 10 round mag. model, but I can fix that. I will get a chance on Friday to put a couple of hundred rounds thru it and compare to my Beretta PX4, I will give you some thoughts and post some range pics, if I can keep it on the paper. One more down off my collection list.
Congrats on the new member of your family! It's a nice looking gun. I'm thinking I may have to pick up the XD Mod 2 in .45 that was rolled out at the SHOT Show. I'm normally not a Springfield fan, but I may have to give them another chance.
My dad bought a CZ 85 Combat a few years ago. Damned nice piece. He wanted that one because he is a lefty and wanted the ambidextrous safety. One of the nicest 9mm I have had the pleasure to fire.
It shoots excellent and makes me look like a better shooter. Today's album! This is freehand, 30 feet on a rest, first shots were high, adjusted the V rest. It is a very fine 9. Not a static rest, just a crude V or Y rest. First 10 shots fired other than the five at the factory. I was comparing the Beretta and the CZ, Beretta has more recoil and the spread is wider. 3.9 inch barrel versus a 4.6 barrel, polymer versus an all steel pistol. As an aside, the Beretta will shoot anything, the CZ was a bit finicky with 124 grain FMJ Aguila 9mm, but after about 500 rounds it should be fine too. With the CZ, no issues with 115 Grain FMJ Federal or 124 Grain FMJ Blazer Brass. I'm happy. Don A nice way to spend a couple hours at the range.
Happy Valentines or guess the GUN! Disclaimer: not mine, but a friends recent purchase. Guess the gun, no prizes, just a little fun. Hint: big and powerful
.500 S&W without the compensated barrel... Fun gun to shoot if you can hold it, but $80 for 20 bullets!
Here is a pic of my EDC NAA Black widow and knife rig. It is worn down for easier access. Really a great shooting little gun and a blast to shoot. Also, I carry a 5.11 day bag with a Glock 42 .380 loaded with Hornaby critical defense.
Got it in 1, even with the question mark, should have gone with the gut. Yes, a Smith 500 Magnum, sadly I am not sure this one will ever be fired, the person I found it for is a collector. Another problem is finding that box of 20 rounds. Now that is an interesting little 5th pocket gun. 22 Magnum? If we take the 500 to the range I will let you know if I get an imprint in my forehead.
