It is very likely the oem original battery has gone tango uniform on you. It could be having your MINI laying on its left side also caused a problem. Put it back on all 4 wheels.
Sounds like it is cranking slow. As Metal/Chuck said check the battery.
Congrats on the horns!!!

There's your problem. Video is meant to be landscape, not portrait.

Good to film the issue though, I did the same thing when I was having the cold start rattle. Made a DVD of it and took it to the dealer when I dropped off the car to get it fixed.-

Schultze is my daily driver and I need to get him up & running so I can get to the office in the morning...
I just don't understand what I could've done to cause this newest problem aka the car not starting. -
SNEEEZY - Erika M/A Wrenchin' Babe!Lifetime SupporterOh, it would certainly be just my luck if the OEM battery went to crap JUST as I got the horns to work...

Jumped Schultze with the GTI, then drove to the gas station, filled up the tank, and drove a little bit longer.
Guess it's time to start doing some research for aftermarket batteries...
On the UP side...the Hellas are L-O-U-D...especially when you are driving through an empty shopping center parking lot...the echo is even sweeter! -

I don't know WHY the video came out that way...I was truly holding the camera vertically. -

Maybe the horns are too big and they sucked all the smoke out of the battery!

What did you have to do to finally get the horns working? Was it a bad ground?
Dave -
This sounds too coinsidental to me. What is 87a on the relay connected to?
-
SNEEEZY - Erika M/A Wrenchin' Babe!Lifetime SupporterIt was definitely a bad ground. I had to run two new ground connections and I simply used the OEM horn "hot" wire.
I haven't installed the relay yet.
