    The Panther 'sloper' single cylinder 600-650cc motorcycle was the choice of many sidecar users for its generous torque. Being a motorcycle engine, it could rev to the ridiculous level of 6000 rpm, but it is better known for its (mythical) ability to pull at such low revs so that it fired once every street light.
