The other evening, after owning my car for almost a year, I actually got a wave! It caught me so off guard that I didn't realize it was happening until it was almost too late. The driver was an "older" gentleman, possibly around my age, driving an S Vert, like mine, and perhaps that may have been the catalyst, but he did wave! I've been waving at so many ungrateful Mini owners that I probably am perceived as a perv or else someone in need of friends! During my Miata days, it was a rare car that didn't wave. Maybe it's because the owners of Miatae are slightly different from the owners of Minis.
I think I've gotten maybe 2 waves since April. And one was from a dude pedaling a bicycle...not sure if that counts. Usually when I drive past other Minis, they don't even make eye contact...
I don't know about the Jeep thing, I've never owned a Jeep, but it is definitely an old British car thing. When I am driving one of my MGs and see any kind of old British iron, there is a waving frenzy, from both cars!
At the Dragon I am going to stand on the side of the road and wave my …… off avery time Dave goes by!
I won't see you because I am paying attention to the road. I would advise others do the same and STAY ON YOUR SIDE.:ihih:
I only pay attition on the dragon when I do a three point U-turn at the apex of a blind corner.:lol::lol:
