Dave you've done such a good job modding your MINI. I bet your board now. So because I'm such a nice guy, I'll trade Minis with you so you can start over. Think how much fun you would have. I'll do this for free!!

Thanks guys but this is the only one I am doing unless I win the lottery.
It took a lot of work and $$$ to get the car the way I like it now but with an unlimited budget I would do a lot more.
I will be more than happy to advise or share to anyone doing what I have done as long as someone else is paying for the parts and work. -

FYI Dave, your mistress stepped out on you this morning...
-
Awesome car, love the Evo 9 seats!
Question regarding your JCW wheel: If you could get a stock wheel padded and alcantara wrapped with whatever color stitching you want with high quality materials for around the same price as the JCW wheel, would you go with the JCW wheel again or full alcantara?
And is the padding on that wheel significantly thicker? I've seen the side by side photos but nothing compares to user opinions. -

Thanks man.
I had someone I trust that wanted to modify my wheel to make it a little thicker and wrap the whole thing in alcantara with red stitching but I said no. I like the different texture that both offer plus the 9 and 3 o'clock positions get the most use and alcantara would wear too much and be a PITA to keep clean. I like my wheel because it just a little thicker than the stock wheel which makes a big difference. -

For daily driving its fine and does not get dirty unless you eat a greasy hamburger and flies and don't wash your hands.
It is not hard to clean at all. Just a little water and maybe windex on a towel, blot it, and scuff with a brush. Then I just squeeze it dry with a MF towel or pack in the sun. -

This car pops up so often, Dave, I'm betting you know the guy who runs the place. It would appear that you've updated a few photos.
