OK - here's another hint.
At one time, an American marque had a car with a similar name and badge.
Crashton wasn't too far off with the "Brit-kit" guess. Same church, different pew. -

I've worked on a few of those over the years, it has a nice little 2.5L V-8 with two SU's mounted crosswise (one feeds one bank of cylinders, the other one the other side), made about 140 hp IIRC.
I knew a guy who mounted one of those engines in a TR-3, it was pretty quick!

A neighbor had Daimler Dart, I recognized that fender right away.
I have a bunch of car show photos on an SD card, give me a little time to select one and crop it for the quiz.
