The Mini Broadspeed was a Mini Cooper sedan coupe which competed in some racing series and it was quite successful. The car featured a sleek fastback shape and it's made the Mini proportion became a bit odd. However, maybe the new one will look much better. Here is the rendering so maybe you can get the picture. From autospies.com
Oh boy, the proportions are all screwed up...I think the bonnet sits too high for this type of thing, this car needs to be low, and the euro pedestrian laws make that pretty tough, if they're going to use the R56 platform and modify it.
I Love it, but if it don't come in Electric Blue I want buy it. Looking to retire BLUCOOPR from the Car Show Circuit and start another project next year.
Well...this is what everyone who objected to the CountryMan has been given. Keep in mind that this is a rendering (NOT done by MINI) it is someone elses concept. there has been a rolling chasis going through the Plant at Oxford...so look for a concept at the Frankfurt Auto Show. If brought in at the right price these will be very successful...a lot will depend on the execution. And regarding the name - rrr: Just Call it the SPEEDSTER and be done with it. A
I like it. I would take it in CR or a bright blue with a black or white top. Although it would be interesting to see if they bump up the performance to match the more racy looks. AWD would be a nice thing to have.
