I just heard an interview with the new CEO or President (or whatever) of MINI and he did touch on getting back to what makes a MINI a MINI and he referred to the early years, 02' and 03', and what they're trying to get back to. He also expressed an interest in making new classics. Next MINI body style will tell how serious they are about getting back to early MINI years. Haven't seen any leaks yet though, but I'm hopeful. I'd love an R53 with a 2 litre! Or a classic with a 2 litre!

I read comments from the buyers and they don't care. To them it is "status", it is "look at me" I have the latest and baddest... You get the picture.

Well I read it and all I could think was that a first year journalism major wrote it.
