But don't the Mini convertibles, of all sorts, pass that test already?

If they are going to get serious about the suspension, it shouldn't be a roadster to start with, there is a reason the cabrios weigh more then the coupes even though you take the roof off... and why not go a step above the JCW stuff.. Maybe something that does have full adjustment to it.. I'm all for a GP again but don't half a$$ it.. It needs to go above and beyond the last one..

When the GP came out, everybody complained that it was a half a$$ed effort. I suspect it will be deja-vu all over again. It will be a relatively mild update and everybody will be disappointed, but over time people will come around and say how great it is.

Makes no sense to make a track car a convertible unless the windshield will support the cars weight, like a Boxster or S2000, or the car comes equipped with an SCCA compliant rollbar. I doubt MINI will/can do that with the roadster, in which case the next GP will be an epic fail.
