Stumbled into a NAM thread where ZippyNH wrote about this "other site". Wasn't too hard to find.

Have been a NAM member for a lot of years, since 2006. Was very active when I got my Gen1 S Cabrio. Modded it quite a bit, probably too much, at least as far as resale went. Sure was fun though through the years.

Thought I'd have that Gen1 forever, then when I started pouring money into it after 9 years (though not many miles; only 55K), I opted for comfort and went to a Gen3 JCW hardtop. Sold off lots of extras from the now departed Gen1 Mini via NAM marketplace. Still have a few pieces advertised there for sale, but the majority is gone.

As I said, I stumbled into a thread on NAM where there was bitching over the vendor policy there and then ZippyNH interjected about this joint, so I figured a guy with over 10,000 posts to NAM ought to know some stuff and here I am. Hello all.

 

Welcome. There are a bunch of the old veterans of NAM here. I personally feel MA has the deepest knowledge base and members that will provide the real answers without telling you to go search for them. We tend to give each other a hard time but it's all in fun. Good friends here.

 

I found this site through a URL written on a bathroom wall in a truck stop. I knew you all were my kind of people...

Found the forum by dumb luck. (most of my luck is like that). Bought a 2003 R53 in July 2019 just for the MTTS in 2020. After that.... who know may keep driving it, may upgrade to a newer generation. OR park it until the next rally.

No mods yet. Have a Misfire on Cyl 4. Waiting for new plugs & in the meantime (today) testing compression, pop’n off the valve cover for inspection, and purchasing equipment to walnut blast the valves
