I was perusing the internet with "how do I" questions, and the forum popped up. There were a few conversations on topic of which I am interested.
I have a 2006 MCS, needs a few repairs.

I found vague references to the site on a clay tablet during an archeological expedition in the Achaemenid Empire region. Tracing these references back further, I was able to find certain mythologies that correlated to a strange myth from ancient Egypt, and carved into the walls in hieroglyphic. It resembled the mythological [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bennu"]bennu bird[/ame] of ancient Egypt, and foretold of a great new web site.
Or, more factually, I saw a link on MMMC-

The parts you are describing are under panels that improve the air flow under the vehicle. They are plastic and aren't really designed for protection other than the occasional errant pebble. They normally are a part of the JCW kit, but some marketing locations did not include them for some strange reason. MINI did not make aerodynamic under panels for directly under the engine. If you want something to cover up this area, some aftermarket companies offer an aluminum designed skid plate.
In the rear where the two under panels stop, that you describe, the factory Challenge aero diffuser tunnels make their attachment and continue back to the JCW rear bumper.
The package is designed to smooth out the airflow under the vehicle for lower drag and increased grip.-

Got my first Cooper S a couple months ago. I was visiting a relative in Detroit, who took me to meet Chad at Detroit Tuned. After a lot of questions, I wound up ordering a DDM cold air intake from him. Got it yesterday, and your card was in the box. Thanks, Chad and Laura. I'll let you know how the intake works.

To be truthful I found the site while waiting for my new spice orange mini clubman to cross the big pond. I followed every step and while doing a search online I found great information about the waiting process on MA. I am a newbie and I just joined the forum. I should be picking up my 2013 Spice Orange mini clubman TODAY. I read Nathan's advice to others, which along with the information on the building and shipping of a new mini, encouraged me to join. So a big thanks to Nathan as well as to others that posted great information.

How I found out about MA
When I went to my local mini dealer to order a manual for my 2003 R50, I asked about places I could go to access kindred mini spirits and this group was one of the names they gave me!-

I G
GLED it and that's was the search:
"How to re-attached the rear sub-frame in a Mini Cooper after drop the sub frame and it did moved backward and now the holes in the sub frame doesn't match with the holes in the body of the car. Please I am desperate how to fix"
Google suggested replacing the query for "replacing sway rear sway bar"
Then I found MOTD.
But going forward what is keeping me attached to MOTD is the passion for Mini. Being a Brazilian I am committed to soccer and F1, its common route of go Kart, formula Ford, F3 South America, F3 Europe, F3000/2000 and F1. We had three F1 drivers just from Curitiba: Raul Boesel, Ricardo Zonta, Tarso Marques, not even close to the caliber of Emerson Fittipaldi, Nelson Piquet and Ayrton Senna, but that city produced 3 F1 drivers and it is enough to get you exposed to go Kart and F1.
On day I saw a tread that Nathan started and post about the Senna movie, that was unique and got me by the fact I did think nobody in US knew anything about Senna. But Nathan proved me wrong.
So I keep looking the good stuff produced by the MOTD.
I stop right here before Nathan throw me out of MOTD, enough is enough.-

Another funny thing is when I went with my brother in 1987 to Rio de Janeiro to watch the F1 I went from Curitiba to Campinas were I meet my brother and from Campinas we jump into a F1 tour bus with destination Rio de Janeiro, it was a full night of Samba drinking cachaça and beer, when we got on Rio de Janeiro on the morning we were almost dead meat. But the whole crew went to Jacarepagua to at least try to sleep in the track. During practices in the back stretch Senna use to park his Lotus Cammel and then warm up tires and wave to the crowd. It was to much. Piquet was on Top of his game and use to give nothing to the public, actually he use to say screw all you I don't care, but that was Mr. Nelson nothing new.
The world is really small, isn't it?-

I was looking for the MINI eyes and saw them for sale on this site and ordered them. I didn't join then but a week or so later I was at the gas station near Ohio State campus and you walked over to me and handed me your card and told me to come get donuts sometime. That day I believe I joined.

New Mini (Almost) Owner!
After paying down college loans, and saving after college, i've ordered my first mini! Hope to have it arrive January 5th if all goes well. Motoring Alliance pops up all over the place online, and it really helped me decide on features and making sure this was the right car for me. it, of course, is-
