I found Motoring Alliance by searching for resolutions to some issues I had concerning my newly acquired '08 MINI Cooper S. This was the ONLY forum that wasn't full of "You MUST take it to a certified MINI Technician" as the answer for EVERYTHING.
OK, so I still ended up taking the car to the dealer for repair anyway but until I get a machine shop and a MINI friendly super computer up and running in my garage, it'll have to be that way. :biggrin5:

Bought a new mini and am looking to turn her into my own. Found this site via a web search and decided to join after reading various useful reviews. Glad to be a member!

My wife drives the mini. I'm actually a Jeep guy (just empty every pocket).
I found this site while trying to resolve some issues with the mini. We don't have a lotta cash these days so I need to try to fix myself. I am pretty handy (I can usually figure out which end of the wrench to use) and I follow directions pretty well. This seems to be a great site so far. I hope I,with some help can figgure dis thang out.Minis Arren't the easiest things in the world to work on,especially with out a service manual.:mad2:
I'm new to this sorta thing. I usually get enough info from lurking sites like this.
Maybe you can suggest where to post questions about "limp mode" issues.:fingerscrossed:
If in doubt of where to post just dump it in the MINI Stuff area. If it needs to be moved we'll do so and send you a note with links as to where it was moved to.
I found another one first, but I didn't like the set up and the people seemed kinda rude from the posts I read through. Then I found myself here, much nicer here.
