The Obligatory How did you find Motoring Alliance Thread

Was at MITM last weekend. A few other MINI owners said this was the place that had ALL the answers. Or at least was a good place to waste some time.

I found MA whilst searching the net on effects of gasoline containing ethanol. I joined to find out all I could about MOTD.

 

Found this site while conducting google search on MINI. While not the top result, it was up there. Forums are great spots for finding answers to nagging questions. Glad to be here.

Actually, I was searching for the P115C error code and another time for directions on how to install control arm bushings. I can't remember which was first.

 

I'm a regular on NAM. I was searching for info a Garmin Nav on NAM and the thread linked me to MA. So now I've joined you guys as well.

Most of the regulars here were the first over on NAM. Left there over 2 years ago and have never looked back. Friendlier here with a great knowledge base. Welcome to the addiction!

 

Never was a regular over there cause of the bs, but over here it's a different story!

 

I always check out both sites everyday. There do seem to be some grouches on the other site, but I can ignore them.

Nathan, I found you first.
I was doing a search on the gearing for a 2006 MCS and you linked the information to your site.
So, now I have enough information to create a spreadsheet and then graph the results.
What I would like is a dynamometer graph on a stock 2006 MCS showing the hp vs torque and various rpms. Then I can graph the best gear changes based on torque.

So, Nathan, thank you for leading me here...
