Found it when asking a question on yahoo. Great information. I wish I had found it about a week ago, before I ordered my Hyde Park MINI. So much advice that I wish I had first. I had a 2007 that my husband bought me to basically get out of the dog house after forgetting my birthday. But it was not my dream MINI, when we traded it in on his dream truck he said I could buy my dream MINI, I have been watching and trying to decided what I wanted for awhile. When I saw the new Hyde Park I fell in love. Hope to have it to drive on my birthday in October.

I found it from a FB group I found on...well...FB. Unfortunantly their group is mostly 2 hours away from me so they refered me to the MID-Ohio group that has a forum here.

To be truthful I found the site while waiting for my new spice orange mini clubman to cross the big pond. I followed every step and while doing a search online I found great information about the waiting process on MA. I am a newbie and I just joined the forum. I should be picking up my 2013 Spice Orange mini clubman TODAY. I read Nathan's advice to others, which along with the information on the building and shipping of a new mini, encouraged me to join. So a big thanks to Nathan as well as to others that posted great information.

:cornut: Welcome to MA. Congratulations on your new 2013 Spice Orange MINI Clubman. Much happy motoring is in store for you. Now, just checking but, are you sure that your MINI isn't really University of Texas Burnt Orange?(Hookem Horns)

I googled "underhood MINI eyes" and followed the link. I had them on my 2002 R53 and need them on my 2006. There's just something about opening the hood and being looked back at!

Been enjoying a 2011 mini with moon roof and nice goodies inside. At our first San Antonio rally last Sunday met CEO of IT security company. He referred us. Great group of people and thanks for lunch Jeff.

How I found out about MA

When I went to my local mini dealer to order a manual for my 2003 R50, I asked about places I could go to access kindred mini spirits and this group was one of the names they gave me!

Quite funny how I found the site. I am a big Big Bang Theory fan and in last nights episode we found out one of the characters drives a Countryman - as do I - so I googled it to find out more and this site came up first. Someone on here had started a thread about that episode. So anyway I had to join!

I G:D:cool:GLED it and that's was the search:

"How to re-attached the rear sub-frame in a Mini Cooper after drop the sub frame and it did moved backward and now the holes in the sub frame doesn't match with the holes in the body of the car. Please I am desperate how to fix"

Google suggested replacing the query for "replacing sway rear sway bar"

    Then I found MOTD.

But going forward what is keeping me attached to MOTD is the passion for Mini. Being a Brazilian I am committed to soccer and F1, its common route of go Kart, formula Ford, F3 South America, F3 Europe, F3000/2000 and F1. We had three F1 drivers just from Curitiba: Raul Boesel, Ricardo Zonta, Tarso Marques, not even close to the caliber of Emerson Fittipaldi, Nelson Piquet and Ayrton Senna, but that city produced 3 F1 drivers and it is enough to get you exposed to go Kart and F1.

On day I saw a tread that Nathan started and post about the Senna movie, that was unique and got me by the fact I did think nobody in US knew anything about Senna. But Nathan proved me wrong.

So I keep looking the good stuff produced by the MOTD.

I stop right here before Nathan throw me out of MOTD, enough is enough.

:cornut: THREAD JACK! We're glad that you're here. All Americans(actually USA as anyone on the North or South American continent is an American)came from somewhere else originally. My mother came here from Scotland,UK in 1948 as a war bride. My Great Grandfather came to Texas from France in ~1840. There is a great connection between the Southern US and your native Brazil. After the 'War Between The States' 1861-1865, many Southerners left the US for other countries. Some left in large groups to form colonies overseas. The only long lasting successful colony of Confederates went to Brazil in ~1865-1867 and were called Confederados. They established themselves as farmers, ranchers, and professionals. They settled in and around Santarem,Americana,Rio Doce, Rio de Janeiro, Campinas, Sao Paulo, Juquia, New Texas, and Xiriria. The Confederate Battle Flag is even part of the Seal of the City of Amercana. They stayed, assimilated, and became loyal Brazilians to this day.(for the 'Gringos' reading this, Brazilians proudly speak Portugese not Spanish)

Jason my Godparents lived in Americana I went there few times, and I never knew to origin of the name until now. Americana is very close to Campinas where they have UNICAMP (Universivty of Campinas). All those regions around São Paulo have a lots of growth and technology, that includes São José dos Campos were EMBRAER started. Now they expand to US with one airplane factory and a research center in Florida.

    http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20121129/BUSINESS/311290044/At-ceremony-Embraer-launches-research-site

Another funny thing is when I went with my brother in 1987 to Rio de Janeiro to watch the F1 I went from Curitiba to Campinas were I meet my brother and from Campinas we jump into a F1 tour bus with destination Rio de Janeiro, it was a full night of Samba drinking cachaça and beer, when we got on Rio de Janeiro on the morning we were almost dead meat. But the whole crew went to Jacarepagua to at least try to sleep in the track. During practices in the back stretch Senna use to park his Lotus Cammel and then warm up tires and wave to the crowd. It was to much. Piquet was on Top of his game and use to give nothing to the public, actually he use to say screw all you I don't care, but that was Mr. Nelson nothing new.

The world is really small, isn't it?
