Does your car have a new battery? Are you still on the original one?

A low battery will cause all kinds of crazy electrical things to happen.

 

I've had the car a Year and a half now but havent changed the battery. I will give that a try. Thanks Dave.O

 

Corrosion with ground straps and loose connection at the +battery jump connection in the engine compartment next to the firewall have been know to cause these problems....

 

I checked the connection to the battery but they were ok. I will check the ground straps in the daylight tomorrow. Thanks Metalman

 

Also check at the Jumper point I mentioned..... The fasteners can loosen over time leaving with a poor electrical connection.... If corroded, clean them up and add some electrical grease.....

 

I found you guys while doing a Google search for tire recommendations for a Mini Cooper S.

I just purchased a 2004 MC40 (Monte Carlo Special Edition).

 

While sitting at my desk with a little free time on my hands, I decided to take a "Mini Break" and since I was going to be buying my wife a Cooper Hardtop, I should join a Mini forum.
So, I Yahoo searched "Mini Cooper Forum".
From the search results I selected several of the forums and checked them out.
After, several hours of research I decided this was the best forum.
So, here I am.:biggrin5:
Now, I just need to find some time to catch up on my work.

Bello everybody, I wrote from México, where I born and live. I just bought a MINI Cooper JCW 2009 with 9000 miles. Well, I saw a 2013 Silver ballet version and I fell in love with the Recaro Seats, so searching through internet I saw a link to one thread of this forum related to these seat. Bought my '05 R50 a few days ago and was looking for knowledgeable communities, with an emphasis on both knowledgeable and community. Google led me to several sites including this one, but after looking around the others lacked a sense of family. After looking around for just a few minutes here I felt like I had found a home for my new Mini obsession.
I'm looking forward to many Mini years behind the wheel and on this site. Thanks Nathan for building us a home.

Parts advisor at mini of Bedford recommended that I join because it is the friendliest and most informative mini forum out there. Thank you to Steve Dennis for the recommendation, I feel right at home already.
