I was looking up on bing images of the oil filter housing exploded views. I might have unsprang the oil back valve spring or other....As i removed the old oil filter .. I came across a spring about 2 inches long. i do not know if it was logged somewhere, Or where it came from. So far had no issues with engine lights. This occurred last springtime. Does anyone think it came from the oil filter housing ?

Henry what year & model of MINI do you have? I know on the early Cooper's if the spring & little plastic piece goes missing it will trip the oil light at idle. Low pressure. Not sure on the other cars, but I think pulling the filter off & having a look see may be a good idea.

    Welcome to M/A.

Researching solutions. We were leaking oil. I thought it was the oil pressure sensor, again. Turns out, the crankshaft position sensor. I replaced the o-ring and RTVed it. Now, no spark. MFE is pulled. A new sensor is on the way. I've got a new S738 connector, looking at butt splicing, wondering if my skills will allow it.... I had a leaky Mini. Now, we have one that won't pop. Bad "Carma", our other car is losing an A/C clutch, there's $300. My Scrambler is it for now. Long days... Sleepless nights.

While searching for a shop to undertake a performance improvement project on my 2021 Mini Clubman S, manual transmission, I came upon the site as a result of either searching for a shop or searching for what products are in the market to accomplish my objectives. Basically as I wanted a manual, I was unable to purchase the JCW Clubman. I figure with the money saved between the price of the JCW and S I can pay for most if not all of the modifications I plan. I anticipate I will be searching your postings for information on both things and would welcome any suggestions. I live in Ky, and there is no Mini dealer in my state, nor do I see very many Minis on the street. Hopeful that I dont have to drive too far to find a qualified shop and that I am able to get the parts without it costing a fortune!

I was perusing the internet with "how do I" questions, and the forum popped up. There were a few conversations on topic of which I am interested.

    I have a 2006 MCS, needs a few repairs.
