Saw no polar bears, it was winter, they were sleeping. I have to fly for work, so I have the whole airport/plane thing down to an art, but I still hate the whole ordeal. Much rather drive. I'm still good for 12-14 hours behind the wheel, not that we get all that far with all the potty stops for the dogs and Lois:lol: Jabbles, if you make the drive to Vancouver, time it so you do Saskatchewan overnight, as it's so flat there you can watch your dog run away for 2 days:lol:
Stumbleupon just sent me to this site. For those going to the Keys if you like to dive check it out. Is this Atlantis?: Photographer creates magnificent underwater world for exhibition that can only be viewed 145 feet under the sea | Mail Online
I would highly recommend Mt Rushmore and Yellowstone area the scenery is some of the best in the world, not to mention the roads are also spectacular. The following are a few photos from last trip out. Pics really dont do it justice, it one of those places you Must see.
I would likely go see Mt Rushmore while in the area but Yellowstone certainly looks like a blast(I only realized the pun as I typed) What would you recommend for lodging while in the area? Hotel or camping?
Minis like Mount Rushmore and the Western vistas! Custer State Park...some of the best roads, high and tight, I have ever driven, natural rock tunnels, and a view like this as we drove through one of them as well as the Devils' Tower NM one more.."Cathedral Rocks" dwarfs my Mini Cooper pac
We stay in Cody Wy, a little drive in but you can't complain about the drive, and Custer St Park does have an amazing road, not to be missed.
OH MY, this thread is itching my feet Going to a MINI event in Arkansas in the fall. Did our own run down there in June, great roads were found, and run, with no one around:devil:
I had planned to go as well but will be going to one of my favorite places, Las Vegas and SEMA. But I will get to MITO probably next year.

Another highly recommended spot in my book is St George Island, Fl. Miles and miles of unpopulated beach, not the kind of place to be active, unless you consider excellent seafood and beer to be active. But if you want a place to relax and regroup you can't ask for better. Of course you have to get the MINI
