That's fine, and better in the long run, but in the meantime the Schroth's are better than a stock belt or cig lock, and no one should fail you for them.

I leave it out unless it's required, I feel like more of a poseur than usual when it's in. No one ever checks it to see if it's charged, I'm going to put an empty one in to save weight.
It's a nice decoration though.
It MIGHT be big enough to put out a cigarette if someone tried to smoke in my car, so there's that.
You oughta get yours painted with a Union Jack if you haven't already.-

Yeah, I've installed a Sneed kit for a friend. Wasn't really awesome. Could accomplish just as much with just the hose and some metal ties.

Supercharger oil replacement, check that damn green gasket (supercharger intake) that likes to leak...actually scratch all of this, install a Roterx, or better yet 1.8 stroker...I mean if the engine is already gonna be out!

Good to see you back! Stapling is ok, gastric bypass, not so much, good luck with it, take what they tell you with regard to the do's and dont's as your new religion, as you know stapling isn't the entire answer, it's part of the answer...
Between you, Dick and Nate, all this Stuart Smalley self-improvement stuff is beginning to frighten me, I'm falling much further behind, and I was pretty far behind to begin with.
Ok, enough of that, back to your MINI--ironic that as soon as you get well, it's going to get sick!-

I will definitely be at MOTD. With or without the car. But I'm betting WITH the car.
Auction is going on now. I had the high pre-bid, and I'll be surprised if I don't win it. But we'll see. Should be over in a couple of hours.
If I win this one... there will be rejoicing. And sprinkles.-

Parts!
So, to head this off proactively....
I plan to do this in a couple of phases. Between now and MOTD, my focus is on getting Blimey running in manual form, otherwise as-is.
But later this year, I'll be doing a more complete transmogrification.
I will be using a great many of the parts from this car. I plan to use:
Engine
Transmission
Pedals, shifter, other transmission conversion parts
Remaining front and rear bumper parts
Side skirts
Doors and interior door panels
Wheels
Dash trim
Gauges
Rear trailing arms
Carpet
Maybe underbody panels
Maybe ECU and other modules
Intercooler and exhaust (if functional) are already spoken for.
I plan to sell:
Brakes
Rear Wing Spoiler with hardware
Complete rear interior with side panels, bar, floor
Suspension if good
Other odds and ends not listed above
So don't PM me asking about parts, other than on the "I plan to sell:" list.
For these parts, my objective is to sell for AT LEAST 50% of the current new retail value of those parts, assuming things are in good condition when I receive it. So, before making me a lowball offer, you can research current retail pricing by looking up the 2006 GP on RealOEM, and then pricing out the parts with your favorite MINI parts source.
The biggies:
MSRP for new GP rear wing spoiler, complete, is approx $2725 (plus $277 for glass)
MSRP for new GP rear interior, complete, is approx $2490 (plus all the little trim clips)
So consider that if you start making offers on these things...-

First I would like to have a moment of silence for our departed GP. You bunch of ghouls!
Congrats on the win! You will have one bad to the bone MINI.-
