Not fast enough? Sounds fast now, will this stroker be in the GPness for 2016?

Nice! Had to go back a few pages and read this twice. :)

You're going to be much faster by the end of the day, but, take it slow if you haven't been on the Nitto's before, especially if these are brand new. They're going to be slick brand new, until you get a few laps on them and get some heat into them. As you wear them down they get stickier.

You're going to need a TBBK (Trailer Big Brake Kit) to go along with it, I hear Wilwood and Brembro have kits that fit with minimal modification. The do better with proper ducting.

Yep, I was looking at that exact tire. Which I actually think will fit on the wheels I already have.

Got wheels mounted, figured out spacing. I only needed 12mm front, and about 3mm rear. Currently on 5mm rear because that's what I had available. And, with the 12mm, I have PLENTY of length on my existing studs - so I don't need to uber long ones that are coming tomorrow. LOL

No, I'm not using these nuts. Just spun them on while testing fitment. I'm using good nuts with the stud sticking out.

Took them out to my local playground road and scrubbed them in. Got them up to about 75% of track temperature. OMG, they're awesome. And I know I'm not close to their full potential yet. Not only super sticky, but the car is more responsive overall with them, and they spin up much faster than even my light 16's. So the car feels even torquey-er than before. Feels stupid fast, actually.

I can tell already, this is gonna be a good thing... :D

Yep, I've read that about the bearings, I'll keep them greased and watched.

I waffled back and forth on which way to set it up. There are advocates of wheels on front, and others advocate wheels on back. I decided to try it this way first. There wouldn't be room to load the 225 wheels the same way in the front with the tongue in the way. And the frame holds the box perfectly like this. Tongue weighting seems good with the box loaded as I'll have it. I'm also going to mount the spare on top of the tongue, that will add some more weight.

Sounds like you and a great time Paul.

As for the flex joint failing I have found they don't fail because of motor mount movement and such. They fail because they get moved around excessively when swaping exhausts or motors in and out.

Hummmm have you install a motor recently....

I suggested the JH because I have more experience with that than the wrap. I had a set of stainless two into two pipes for my Harley done and it worked so well i didn't need to fabricate heat shields for them. Supposedly drops outside temps by 50% and improves scavenging. Never dynoed it so can't really speak to any added performance. I can say the pipes never blued on me and held up great cosmetically. The headers on my Vette are coated and look like they did when I installed them 15 years ago. YMMV

OK, Jan tells me not to wrap it. So I won't. Still trying to decide if it's worth the $ and hassle to coat it.
