We've had that header since Jan first made them and never had a code related to it.

Just read this build, awesome work and when you have done it yourself it is so much more rewarding when it all works out. I kind of did the same with my VW, took a rare, numbered, limited wrecked car, only 2000 made, and transplanted it into a new shell. Can't wait to see more goodness with the RMW goodies.

I need to figure out how to get commission on these lifts. Had a guy stop by today who saw it... and I'm pretty sure he'll buy one.

Looking good and a lot of stuff, I know what you mean about pulling out Mini engines and boxes. My first gearbox removal was around 2.5 hours, now I'm down to 1 1/4 hours.

Great work, have fun breaking it in. I got one of these because my 88 16V Scirocco has a bubble I can't get rid of:

Amazon.com: FJC 43610 Radiator Coolant Vacuum Refill Kit: Automotive

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1BGj0FaKkM"]10-20-13 for wtbm123 radiator vacuum coolant refill kit - YouTube[/ame]

I haven't tried it on the Scirocco, but it worked great on the MINI.

Put my strut brace back on, added some oil, and drove it another 55 miles. With fury, but low revs. Getting even stronger, I think.

Yep, that's a quick way to do it.

Gonna have to bang mine out 50-100 miles a day for the next week.
Then get it tuned... I have a date at the track on 8/23 to really see what it can do... :fingers crossed:

Working on finishing Zeitronix, Aquamist and brake duct installs over the next few days.

Street tuned cars are often better all around drivers than just doing pulls on a dyno. Street tuning gives the tuner a better database to build the new mapping off of, by giving better real world conditions. [emoji6]

Only problem with street tuning is that it has to be done in secret because even a 3rd gear pull in an R53 takes you above the highest posted speed limit in the country.

With my family medical history, I really need to hang on to all my parts... I could probably use some spares in all actuality. [emoji31]

Paul I am so sorry that happened. I was hoping it was some sick joke when I saw the first picture. I am very glad you are ok. I absolutely can't believe it happened. Hang in there. I hope you rebuild.
    I am pulling for you.
