Please let us know when you're gonna be at VIR. I live just down the road and would love to stop by and see your car. I'm sure there are some other local forum members that would like to be there too.

Yep, I had the same ones on the old car. You just unscrew them. Eventually the screw comes all the way out, and you can retrieve the toggle through the hole separately. No drama. A magnet helps.

Back in the day, it would.
But not at current scrap rates ($3 per 100 pounds). Not even worth driving across town for.

    Hey Blimey,

Nice to see all the progress. I would be interested in a separate thread on your thoughts regarding the maxjax after the cleanup and reorg compared to other lifts like 4 post or scissor.

Having a lift is definitely on my wish list but I have trouble deciding what is best for me. Would love a 4 post for stacking but not sure I have the ceiling height.

Then I think scissor is the right choice so I don't have setup/tear down time wasters but then I think would I really want to drive over that scissor platform every day? It would be like having a giant speed bump in the garage plus having to step around it when not in use.

Anyway would love to have your thoughts if you get around to it.

And now back to the thread of awesome.

Great idea[emoji106]. I think I am going to have to give this a try. I always worry about the skirts getting damaged whenever mine goes up on a lift.

BTW, love the puck idea. Our shop terminology for the those jacking points has coincidentally been 'jacking pucks'. Mediocre minds think alike.

No, they're definitely Tire Rack stickers. The tires don't have a "side" until they're mounted.

Would have been appropriate if the shirt said "Ask me about Paul's GPness"

I am really surprised the NCDMV "PC" filters let this one through.

A nice thing about this, versus the base+clear, is that this is easy to touch up or repair, if it has any issues in the future. But it should be plenty durable.

POR-15 is wonderful. I used it on VW projects and never had a problem. Great for floor boards.
