Where are they gettin all of the bumper designers these days?

And who's teachin them to design bumpers?

As you say it could be safety or possibly aerodynamic related.

 

I saw a beautiful red car on the other side of the highway coming home last Saturday. As I got closer I realized it was a Tesla. I laughed it ran out of juice.

I know this was the case because there was a guy dragging a loooong extension code down the side of the road.








Okay the extension code was April Fools. But the Tesla was off on the side and not on fire.

 

If the design of a car doesn't please my eye it dies right there. The Tesla 3 is a fail.

It has the same beautiful good looks of the Renault Caravelle.....

 

Nah, the Renault is better...

 

That front end treatment is a perfect canvas for a paint on grill, if you need to have a grill.

 

This is the 3rd Tesla that will not make it from my house to the Dragon without 3 or 4 charging stops.

 

A presale I hear is underway. I seem to remember a troubled car company doing this sorta thing a couple decades ago... That was a flop.

 

Just another Tesla that won't make money without subsidies and carbon credits.

 

A NASCAR grill might work and shouldn't cost too much!!

 

Apparently Elon Musk has asked for feedback on how to make the 3 prettier...

The overwhelming response has been the front bumper...

Here is one of the better suggestions IMHO... Looks moar Porschie...

 

Looks somewhat better, but I think it still needs a turbo 4 cylinder for me to have any interest.

 

That 'adjusted' one does look really nice...like a Vette/Porsche combo. It makes my brain hurt thinking about how in the heck that front fascia got to that point and displayed..... I know there are a LOT of really ugly cars, but I think their little rendered computer images just kind of left it out.

 

Maybe the electric crowd has a different eye towards astetics.
