No, I would just think it was someone trying to get my attention because they want to get out of that turd!

I gave a wave to a dude I saw driving a yellow MCS up here at easton the other day. He looked at me like I was smoking crack while wearing a dildo hat.

I still wave. Its been a few years ago I stopped at a light and Mini pulled up next to me. When I looked over a young oriental cupel were in the Mini smiling at me. I waved and at the same time both of them started waving very fast with big smiles. Of course I had to wave agin as I pulled away. I miss the days when people were excited about their Mini. Now I see people treating them like a Camry or Prius. (I hate Prius)
I shutter to thank of all those R53 being fed 87 octane.

I don't believe waving has much to do with being vehicle specific. Bus drivers wave at one another, cops wave at each other, firefighters and medics wave at a passing engine or ambulance... Bikers wave at each other as do cyclists... Hell even the trash haulers wave at each other. Of course some of the folks mentioned above might likely know each other, but not all do.

I believe it's all about etiquette and a display of respect and appreciation for someone who shares in the same love for their vehicle or profession. Pure and simple, in my mind, it's absolutely a gesture of kindness. There ought'a be more of that going around.

There's a girl that drives a pepper white cooper s in my neighborhood. I have waved at her with no responses so many time that it's not funny at all. I don't think she even notices it. Next time I will honk, flash my headlights, get my head out the windows, and wave as if I was campaigning. I will not give up! Lol

I know if Dave.O waves at you it's with a particular digit extended.

I still wave, get some back. I wave at the jeeps when in my Jeep! Sometimes I get confused and wave at Minis when in my Jeep and get strange looks.

^^^^ I agree and here in the North East we don't use the old five finger wave we tend to only use one finger.

Wrong finger but you get the idea >>> :ihih::lol:

For some reason Dave I'm thinking you atleast once a week flash the "Your Number One" signal to somebody for something.. The question is Do you go full tilt and stick your right arm out the passenger window flashing "The Signal" while yelling FU at them, or do you just kinda roll your wrist on the steering wheel and flash it while mumbleing obsentities at them!! :D

See on the other hand... I prefer the full fledged "one finger (sometimes two finger) wave" at full extension out the window. I just want to make sure the other driver sees the "wave" and knows that at least I was paying attention. :D

I usually wave, even though my wife and friends think I'm a bit crazy. But I still do. Most don't bother waving back.

But last week, the one time I failed to wave, some driver in a MINI driving by rolled down his windows and stuck his arm out and waved at me. :blush2:
