That's awesome! Even though all my cars have always had some form of a tinted window, because of the heat out here, I get personal satisfaction in knowing "I showed them!", whether they can observe the gesture or not...

I think we need a Save the Wave grill badge.

I drove by a MINI this morning and I could see on the driver's face he was waiting to see if I was going to wave. (of course I did) and was surprised I did. The look of panic on his face when he couldn't respond was priceless. :biggrin5:

I wave and I get looks from some other MINI drivers like I'm crazy because they don't know who I am. Often times they wave back with the same look just so they don't miss something.

I guess that is why I always wave when seeing another Mini.

We...my wife and I...wave! The other day we were going to a small event with our local MINI club and we needed some fuel for the GP. So I turn into a station on the route and exiting the station is a Countryman All4 S with a thirtysomething woman driving, and as normal, my wife and I both waved quickly. She was looking our way to see if the street was clear to exit, but she saw us wave and waved back.

A couple of weeks ago I was out for some late night street food motoring along with the GP. As I entered a highway I passed a yellow R50 waiting to enter the same road. We pulled up together side by side at the first street light. I looked over and see a young female looking at me, so I said "Nice MINI!". She looked at me, picked up her cell phone and started doing something...so I motored on. Figured I upset her...

Wave on! I usually throw a 'peace' or thumbs up.

I have DRLs on all 3 MINIs, so an actual wave is utmost for me.

Back in the early days when MINI's were rare we all waved. Not so much anymore. Here in Texas, if you're not on a busy road, just about everyone waves no matter what you're driving. Howdy.

I wave, the older I get and the younger the other drivers are, the looks get funny.

It is hit or miss, I think a lot more MINIs are sold to commuters and the dealers are shifting from promoting a fun car to transportation.

When I drive the Countryman, it is more like only 25 % wave, when I drive the MCS, it has been a 60/40 mix.

Ah! well, maybe MINIUSA will start promoting the wave versus backflips.

I've discovered geography plays a part in Michigan. In Grand Rapids I've gotten 3 waves in 4 months. However in Detroit last weekend I got 5-6 in 48 hours. One guy even flashed his headlights to get my attention. First time that has happened. :biggrin5:

I love to wave and I love when they wave back! I will even wave from the other side of the highway, just in case they can see me.

I always wave. Either a peace sign, or a wave, depending on the recipient.
