This story shows the versatility of the good old, faithful Zippo. I was on bunker guard one night and ran out of fluid in the Zippo. So, I took an M16 round and worked the projectile back and forth until it came out. Then I poured the powder out of the cartridge, into a small pile on the sand bag and stuck the end of a cigarette into the pile. Next I kept spinning the wheel on the Zippo, until the spark from the flint set off the powder and lit the cigarette. Try that with a Bic.
But why....... Were you trying to smoke a sandbag.... Man.... They musta had strong weed over there....
MM, Mark is still confused about the "roaches" and now you start talking about "weeds"". To answer your question, I saw some MJ plants over there that were over seven feet tall. :eek6:
A few years ago I was ebay-ing a bunch of items for a RJ Reynolds employee who had 20 boxes of misc Camel, Smoking Joe, shirts, pool sticks, signs, and of course Zippos. Some of those give away Zippos sold for hundreds of dollars.
So how long did it take you to smoke that 7 footer? Something like that, you should have taken it home and decorated it like a christmas tree.
Yup, back pocket while driving!! Pulled into a fast food establishment, ran to the bathroom, pants down, splashin' water on my butt. Never went back to that Taco Bell again!! From then on Zippo always pointed "up" when in my pocket. This one I held onto after my Navy days, 25 yrs ago!!
Since it was legal there and not here, I think I would have had a problem with my hold baggage shipment. I have heard that when they get that big, the THC level is less, but I wouldn't know anything about that. :frown2:
Was a plank owner on that ship and she's been working for Gillette and cutting whiskers now for 20 years this month.
With the temps hitting -10, even lower with the wind chill, I dragged out my old handwarmers....fueled them up after sitting for 10 years....and the happily kept running for 10 hours on one fueling....helped keep me toasty... Don't remember them having such a smell... Maybe the fuel was going bad after sitting? Anyway...still better than the OLD charcoal powered handwarmers (still have 2 of those too..and a supply of fuel sticks)....and last a heck of a lot longer than the chemical ones... Funny thing is, the local cigar shop was running adds for the zippo handwarmers this past Christmas....so they still make them....and actively sell them.
They come in Camo now... Zippo Hand Warmer Realtree Camo Lighters Direct - Authorized Dealer of Cigar Lighters and Accessories
Had one or two zippos back in the 60s, they came in handy for this and that. Nowadays here in Colorado, thinking if 12 7 footers would be a good deal. I gave up smoking cigs in 1966, I do like a good pipe or cigar to this day. Don
I still have a roach clip I made out of a very large cotter pin and a M16 round (used), you know the damn thing still works!:cornut:
I picked up one of these a few months ago... an old school lighter with a new package to help prevent the lighter fluid leaks mentioned earlier. I got it as a novelty (and to add 10 bucks to an order to get $15 free shipping) ThinkGeek :: Pocket Stashes
