Hah! That pic was your idea, if you remember...so I'm happy it has your approval. I just saw it in my files the other day and thought, "Hey, I don't have a sig yet...this is perfect!" :biggrin5:
Well yeah, but you put the picture together so it's really yours. But now that you mention it, since I had a little input, the more I think about it, Paul's signature actually really sucks and this one is by far the best!
I think it can be done--I had a friend who gave me a beer of the month membership as a present once, and it was delivered monthly to my door. Apparently not a very good friend, most of the beers weren't that good, but it was done via mail. Had a wine of the month membership too, same thing, no issues (That was much better, one white, one red each month). And please, send Firebro some beer too, so he can get that Corona out of his fridge before the good beers in there get fed up and leave.
Well hell, I'd certainly try it. I'm guessing though that you have to have some sort of special vendor dispensation to legally mail it. But if I package it all nice and tidy and no one knows... Nevermind that I just posted it on a public forum. :arf:
If you send something like ricin, well yeah, people here are going to get pissed. But if you send beer, I'm pretty sure everyone's going to look the other way.
Just realized that I didn't answer my own question. My choice is beer, but am definitely a beer snob. I refuse to drink mass produced cheap beer (Miller, Budweiser, Corona...etc.). I don't drink a lot all the time, so I figure I might as well go quality over quantity.
My wife once paid a "beer of the month" type of place about $50 for TWO SIX PACKS a couple years ago for a Christmas gift...made for some $$$ beer!!
Beer for me, but none of that cheap crap! I would take a boxed wine over a Bud light! You're in luck! New Belgium is opening a brewery in North Carolina!
Hopefully it tastes like the Fort Collins stuff.... When I was in CO, Coors was OK...the stuff out of VA (reconstituted from railcar concentrate I believe.....eww) we get here litterly makes me sick....tastes like watery bud light with a bit of skunk....
If NB's ethics hold true with the new brewery and employees, it should still be great. I foresee NB overtaking Sam Adams as the craft beer leader when the east coast brewery opens up. Plus, it will be within driving range of the Dragon! The brewery tour here is hard to get on the list but well worth the wait when you do get a slot!
Doing a brewery run in January with a few friends, renting a limo and hitting some top notch breweries in Chicago. Boys weekend out. Great time but the downside is I have to be nice to my wife for a month or I don't get to go. It's a huge sacrifice I know, up there with donating a kidney, but I can just manage it.
Let me guess: the IBU's are over 200, extolling the virtue of bitterness the last 6 years have brought forth, the ABV varies from bottle to bottle, so you never know what you're going to get, symbolizing the inconsistency of leadership, the green bottle, the symbol of money, taxes and our domestic policy of redistribution of wealth, the pink bottle cap, a nod to the toughness of our foreign policy. It sells for $760,000 a case if you pay taxes, add a $100,000 surcharge if you work in the medical field. It's compulsory that all of legal drinking age buy at least one case; the number of cases you must buy varies by income. Shipping is extra and is randomly chosen on Obama's spinning wheel of fate. Those on subsidy or illegal immigrants get there's of course for free, including shipping. Where shipping is not available a deliverer will randomly be chosen from the group who paid. Putin has already ordered a case. I have to admit though, it's a step up from the Corona in your fridge.
