So, My daughter is getting ready to head out of state for college. Looks like her car could use new tires. She drives a RAV4 and I am looking for 215/70/16 (OEM) or 225/70/16 (currently on car). I want a good tire. Something that will keep her safe and have a decent life span, and a reasonable cost. I am getting hammered by out of state tuition as it is. Thoughts?
I was going to recommend the Kumho Solus KH16; I've used them for 7 years on my Miata, and 3 years on my father-in-law's Hyundai Azera. They don't have 70-aspect though, and show a 225/65 as alternate size for a RAV4, so you'd have to consider that. No issues at all in my experience, long-wearing, decent enough in light snow even on a Miata (with some weight in the trunk).
