    I first had a MP62 kit that I bought. I sold that after I made my own kit with a M62 from a Cobalt SS. There is a guy on Ebay that sells rebuilt M62s and I bought the case and rotors from him as the M45 snout bolts up. Here is a chart made from my logs and includes M45 data. I bought another R53 back in January and after rebuilding the engine I was seeing 18 PSI with it.

    I did not want to screw around with the brake vacuum and the MAP tube connection into the duct that connects the throttle body to the supercharger inlet so I used some fiberglass mat and some JB Weld to create a new connection. I cut off a portion of the existing black nylon tube and with RTV silicone connected everything together. After the RTV set up I had a joint that was air tight but also flexible enough to absorb engine vibration without breaking. People that see the fabrication think it is OEM. The brake vacuum and MAP tube slip into the oem connections.

    With the 62mm pulley how much boost is it putting out?

    My welding skills are not the best so I had the aluminum portions of my kit welded up by a pro. I cut the pieces for the horn, water pipe to block and the take-off plate from the M62. I built a wood jig to figure the angles on the water pipe.

    Please correct me if I am mistaken but my assumption is that you have absolutely no experience what so ever with either the DDM MP62 kit that was made back in 2007 or the use of the newer/upgraded Chevy Cobalt SS M62, correct? I further assume any knowledge you have was gleamed from comments by others that also have no actual experience, correct again?

    The Cobalt M62 unlike the MP62 has powder coated blades just as the Gen5 facelift M45 and also has better needle bearings than the MP62. The rotors of the M62 are the same exact diameter as the M45 and uses the same gear pack. The snout of the R53 M45 bolts to the M62 with no modifications and the R53 S OEM S pulley, belt and tensioner all function on the M62. The MP/M62 does require an electric water pump similar to what the TVS900 uses,

    Now if I am mistaken and you have actual experience with the MP/M62 please edify on what I have done incorrectly. Also, I am somewhat new here so please if sometime in the past you have posted about an engine, brake or suspension attempt/modification that you spent time on fabrication parts for, or, used an "out of the box" idea on, please point me toward it.

    Last, the Chrysler Engineer that headed up the Tritec engine design team said the M62 was an upgrade to the Sprintex but of course you forgot that, correct?
